Despite all of the blood, guns, and the heaping helping of vulgarity-laced witty one-liners, the Deadpool film franchise has never shied away from the fact that there are rich love stories woven throughout all three films. From Deadpool and Vanessa’s complicated yet unbreakable relationship to Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio’s young love, romance has been a cornerstone of Marvel’s edgiest and most violent franchise. But one deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine shows that fans were robbed of a surprising and blossoming romance between Peter Wisdom and B-15.

As Peter steps through his apartment door, he can’t help but profess his affection for B-15 as he swoons over his romantic encounter.

On October 1, Deadpool & Wolverine dropped on digital, with a Blu-ray release slated for October 22. To give fans who waited to purchase the Blu-ray a taste of what they can expect from the bonus features included with the film, Marvel uploaded a deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine to its YouTube channel. The deleted scene features the charming and beloved character Peter Wisdom, played by actor Rob Delaney.

While the Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene is just 47 seconds long, it packs a lot of information into its short runtime. Titled “Daddy’s in Love,” the scene features Peter and B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) as they casually stroll down an apartment building hallway. After a brief exchange of words, B-15 leans in, and the two share a short but very sweet kiss before she eventually opens up a portal and slips away smiling.

When Peter Wisdom made his live-action film debut in Deadpool 2, it was immediately obvious that the character was a drastic departure from his comic book counterpart.

As Peter steps through his apartment door, he can’t help but profess his affection for B-15 as he swoons over his romantic encounter. To cap things off, Peter then sits down in between Kidpool and Headpool, who appear to be Peter’s roommates. As a franchise favorite and overall impossible-to-hate character, it makes you wonder why this Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene couldn’t make the final cut.

When Peter Wisdom made his live-action film debut in Deadpool 2, it was immediately obvious that the character was a drastic departure from his comic book counterpart. In the comics, Peter is a British secret agent working as a liaison between British Intelligence and the UK superhero team, Excalibur. Unlike in the Deadpool film franchise, the comic book version of Peter is a highly capable spy who has the ability to shoot “heat knives” from his fingers.

Although Delaney’s portrayal of Peter lacks the tenacity and special talents that make the comic book character a force to be reckoned with, his performance quickly won over fans with his lovable personality and invaluable qualities that make him an X-Force MVP, just as long as there aren’t any wood chippers around. As seen in the Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene, Peter might not be the best at anything, but he’s just a person that everyone, Deadpools especially, want to be around.

Delaney was such a scene-stealer in Deadpool 2 that when Peter eventually met his untimely and heartbreaking end, the franchise smartly made sure that Peter’s retirement would not be permanent and quickly brought him back in a post-credits scene with Deadpool using Cable’s device to travel back in time, ensuring that Peter would not die during his selfless act.
