One Of The Richest Rappers Tried Warning Us About Diddy Decades Ago

By TeeJay Small | Published

Last month, music fans around the globe were rocked by the shocking news that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had been arrested in New York on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. While this news came as a surprise to many, one rap industry insider was not only unsurprised, but vindicated, as he had been trying to warn us all along. Rapper 50 Cent has once again stepped forward to take credit for exposing Diddy’s alleged crimes to the public.

50 Cent Warned Us About Diddy

Those who aren’t major hip-hop fans may not be aware, but 50 Cent has famously been trolling Diddy for decades. Whether he’s calling him names in interviews, attacking him with memes on Instagram, or simply refusing requests to attend Diddy parties, 50 has made no secret of his overall disgust in Diddy’s entire being. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the multi-faceted entrepreneur and investor has made it his business to do a victory lap now that the Bad Boy Records founder has finally been carted off to jail.

Wants To Expose Them All

As 50 Cent explained in his remarks to People, “It seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t. It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.” The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has been a prolific household name in hip-hop since the early 2000s and has networked with a number of industry insiders close to Diddy on numerous occasions.

As droves of Hollywood actors, rap moguls, and other prominent entertainers are fleeing responsibility for their appearances at Diddy’s disturbing parties, labeled “freak-offs,” 50 Cent is working overtime to expose them.

The Netflix Series

In fact, 50 Cent is serving as a producer on an upcoming Netflix docu-series centered on Diddy’s alleged crimes, which the rapper has humorously been promoting under the tentative title Diddy Do It? In the wake of Diddy’s arrest, Jackson released a joint statement alongside filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton, who is expected to serve as the director on the forthcoming project.

The duo explained, “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far… While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’s story is not the full story of hip hop and its culture.”

Jay-Z And Others Involved?

While promoting the project, 50 Cent has also been shining a light on those who were close with Diddy within the industry. Never a stranger to controversy, the rapper has been trolling the likes of Meek Mill, Jay-Z, Dame Dash, and others with posts indicating that they may be the next rap titans to see the inside of a cell. Meanwhile, Diddy has been repeatedly petitioning the judge in his case to allow him to leave prison on strict terms of bail, to no avail.

Should’ve Listend To 50 Cent All Along

50 cent blood out

While the entire Diddy saga has proven to be a massive shake-up in the world of music and pop culture at large, it’s nice to see that some of our rap heroes have not fallen prey to the bizarre trappings of their industry connections.

Most people tend to live by the adage “don’t meet your heroes” because you may be disappointed in their behavior or their real-life demeanor. In the way of 50 Cent, it seems that the only reason you shouldn’t meet him is that you may be at risk of getting dunked on for decades, much like Diddy himself.
