Fallout From Diddy’s Arrest Is Already Destroying Hollywood

Kevin Hart, one of the most prolific stars today, in everything from multiple buddy comedies with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to, most recently, Borderlands, is already seeing his star start to fall. Caught on video hosting a “freak-off” event, going on a hard n-word-powered rant, and laughing over a woman’s hair catching fire. Hart isn’t catching strays from the arrest of Diddy, and there’s video evidence floating around social media that shows he was a willing participant.

Hart’s squeaky-clean Hollywood image has taken a hit; he already closed down all of his restaurants with social media speculation that it was done because he knew the storm that was about to arrive and wanted to liquidate assets, so is his career now over?

He’s not the only one going into damage control, as now Usher, a mainstay on NBC’s The Voice and a former Superbowl Halftime Performer, has deleted every single one of his social media posts following Diddy’s arrest. This comes as social media sleuths are piecing together the singer’s relationship with the mogul, including introducing a young Justin Beiber to Diddy, as now the question on everyone’s minds is, “What did Usher know?”

Usher claims that he was hacked and that the hacker deleted his posts and replaced them with crypto scams. In his defense, other stars had a similar incident over the weekend, including Pink and Megan Fox, but the timing is a little convenient. When the Diddy case goes to trial, will Usher’s name come up as a conspirator, a blackmail victim, or as someone who chose the wrong friend?

To say that Diddy had powerful friends and associates in Hollywood prior to his arrest would be an understatement, as attending his famous White Party was once seen as an act of passage for up-and-coming stars. The mogul was also once in a very public relationship with Jennifer Lopez, so now, following the Department of Justice’s arrest, there’s fresh speculation that Jenny from the Block was aware of what was going on. Lopez hasn’t made any public statements as of yet, but it’s hard to imagine her former fiancee didn’t include her.

Amid reports that celebrities are hunkering down and waiting to see what the government’s next move is, the speculation is waffling between this being a move to protect their brands or fear of Diddy’s retaliation following the arrest. With the Kevin Hart video surfacing, it’s not crazy to think that the founder of Bad Boys Records has video and photos of other celebrities gone wild. So who’s next?

Unfortunately all that can be done now is to speculate, but that hasn’t stopped social media users from going over all of Diddy’s old interviews, some decades before his arrest, looking for clues as to how deep this goes. Will he start to name names and take everyone down with him, or will he, like Epstein, never make it to trial? The only thing that can be said for certain is that the silence coming from the Hollywood elite today is deafening.
