Star Trek: Section 31

Star Trek: Section 31 is a made for streaming movie which picks up the story of Michelle Yeoh’s mirror universe character, Emperor Georgiu. When last we saw her on Star Trek: Discovery, she’d been sent back in time by the Guardian of Forever, never to return to the Discovery crew.

The Section 31 movie will involve Georgiu’s adventures and machinations as a member of the infamous and not always the good guys organization Section 31. The group was first introduced on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as a spy agency working outside the control of, and not always with the blessing of, Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets.

Section 31’s mandate is to do all the dirty work that Starfleet’s lofty ideas won’t let it do, the dirty work they feel must be done in order to protect those lofty ideals. As a reformed evil empower from Star Trek’s mirror universe, Philippa Georgiu is a natural fit for their questionable ranks.
