Anna-Maria Sieklucka is someone who might be new to show business and therefore a name not widely recognized as of yet but has a film on Netflix that definitely has tongues wagging. In fact, not only does she have one film Netflix subscribers are talking about, but she also has two sequels to that film, 365 Days. And what are these tongues wagging about? The extremely realistic sex scenes between herself and co-star Michele Morrone.

ANNA-MARIA SIEKLUCKA WAS BORN IN POLAND

Not much is known about the 30-year-old Anna-Maria Sieklucka. She is a Polish actress, born on May 31, 1992, in Lublin, Poland, which is the largest city in eastern Poland. Sieklucka took her formal training at the Faculty of Puppetry of AST National Academy of Theatre Arts, located in Wroclaw, Poland and she graduated in 2018 and can speak four languages – her native tongue Polish, German, French, and English.

Before Anna-Maria Sieklucka found herself in various positions in 365 Days, she had very little experience in front of the camera. In fact, Sieklucka had only one credit to her name before getting the role of Laura Torricelli in 365 Days. The credit was for a 2019 episode on the Polish TV series, Na dobre i na zle.

ANNA-MARIA SIEKLUCKA STARRED IN THE POLISH EROTIC FILM 365 DAYS

To say that Anna-Maria Sieklucka was hesitant the first time she read the script for 365 Days is an understatement. How could she not be with all of the explicit sex scenes that were written into the script? One thing she needed to overcome was her intense shyness (yes, even actors are shy). “One of the most difficult experiences was to overcome shyness and to show the nudity we will see on the screen.”

365 Days tells the story of Laura Biel (Anna-Maria Sieklucka), a young woman who is in an unhappy relationship with her boyfriend. She is in Italy with her boyfriend and her friend Olga, celebrating her 29th birthday. When her beau leaves to visit Mount Etna without her, Laura decides to take a walk on the beach. There, she runs into Massimo, who kidnaps her.

Back at his villa, Massimo explains to Laura that five years prior, he saw her on a beach where he and his father were gunned down. Massimo, who survived the shooting, is now the leader of the Torricelli crime family. Massimo then explains to Laura his plans – he is going to keep her as his prisoner for 365 days in hopes that Laura will fall in love with him.

From there, the story devolves into numerous explicit sex scenes. There is sex in a villa and there is sex on a yacht. There is sex after a masquerade ball and there is sex in Laura’s apartment. The story, as it is, almost becomes secondary to the explicit scenes.

THE SEX IN THE THREE 365 DAYS MOVIES WAS NOT REAL BUT IT WAS REALISTIC

Was it real or was it not? That is the question everyone has been asking since 365 Days first dropped on Netflix. The scenes, some brutal for their BDSM content and explicit sex, appear to be very real, especially given the chemistry between Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone.

There are numerous scenes throughout the film where eyebrows (and pulse rates) were raised from an oral sex scene taking place on a private jet, to an extremely wild and extremely graphic sex romp between the two which takes place along various locations aboard a yacht.

According to Morrone, though, “It seems like real because we are good actors. We know how to fake. It wasn’t real. I know that many people write me that, ‘Oh my god, it was real. You guys, it looks real!’ but at the same time, it wasn’t real.”

In fact, it was Morrone who spilled the beans on the oral sex scene, one that he says was the “most difficult” to film because he had only met Anna-Maria Sieklucka moments before cameras began to roll.

“It was really difficult for me,” says Morrone, “because I got on set, I met this girl [Anna-Maria Sieklucka], “Hi, nice to meet you,” “Michele, nice to meet you,”…and, uh, we just meet, I mean, we just meet the scene, and she starts, you know, just, you know, camera, rolling, action after two minutes I met her and she starts blowing it [his prosthetic].”

Films like 365 Days and its subsequent sequels are becoming more commonplace – Euphoria, Bridgerton, and Sex Education – now that all movie sets require the use of an intimacy coordinator. It is allowing for a more relaxed set with smaller crews that are allowing actors to get more graphic and push the lines between erotica and pornography.

365 Days cinematographer Bartek Cierlica explained just what went into filming these highly erotic scenes between Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone.

“We wanted the camera to be as much invisible as possible, to let them act, so indeed the takes were very, very long,” he explained to Variety. “We created the most intimate atmosphere we could for the actors. We reduced the on-set crew to an absolute minimum.”

But to not dip into porn territory, Cierlica had to discuss the parameters of the scene before cameras started to roll. “We had a lot of conversations with both directors — Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes. We had a few important goals. We didn’t want to create porn, but at the same time, we wanted to do justice to the book that is pretty full of very intimate and passionate sex descriptions.”

The “book” to which Cierlica is referring is the first in a trio of erotic novels written by Polish author Blanka Lipińska, who also co-wrote the film’s screenplay. These novels have a lot in common with British author E.L. James’ Fifty Shades stories, as they are highly eroticized and include BDSM in their content. As with James’ Fifty Shades books, Lipińska didn’t stop with just one and wrote two sequels, which also were turned into Netflix films.

CRITICS WERE VERY UNKIND TO ANNA-MARIA SIEKLUCKA’S 365 DAYS

Netflix subscribers were quick to take a liking to the erotically charged 365 Days. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for film critics. They were particularly brutal giving the movie a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and in fact, the sequels starring Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone, 365 Days: This Day and The Next 365 Days, both of which came out in 2022, we just as badly panned as the first film of the trilogy.

ANNA-MARIA SIEKLUCKA IS ON INSTAGRAM

Apparently being in a trilogy of highly erotic films has its benefits, as Anna-Maria Sieklucka can attest to. She is a frequent contributor to her own Instagram and often times is modeling different clothing and jewelry.

Where Anna-Maria Sieklucka’s career goes from here is anyone’s guess. She has already shown she has gotten over her shyness, so perhaps she is destined to remain with the erotic thriller genre. It will be interesting to see where her career takes her.
