Believe it or not, actress Kaley Cuoco has been acting for more than 28 years. That’s pretty amazing when you realize she’s only 34 years old. The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant star hit a roadblock when Kaley Cuoco’s naked photos were leaked on the internet, but it didn’t slow the actress down.

While it seemed like the actress might have been destined for a sitcom star’s fate of being typecast as a certain character, that’s been anything but the case. In recent years she’s had another hit series and voiced one of the most popular comic book characters as well.

Kaley Cuoco not being naked on screen is a choice she made and for her career, it’s been a good one. Except, of course, the internet eventually took the decision to maintain her modesty away from her when naked photos of Kaley Cuoco were leaked online.

Kaley Cuoco’s naked photos were leaked as part of “The Fappening,” a massive dump of hacked cell phone data containing numerous celebrity nudes of famous people in 2014. Kaley Cuoco naked and on display was among the photos leaked. The FBI eventually investigated but the internet is forever and Kaley Cuoco’s naked photos are still floating around out there.

When asked how she felt about having those Kaley Cuoco naked photos leaked on the internet, at the time the actress had this to say on a Jimmy Kimmel appearance …

“I totally have Google alerts that come to my phone so anything that my name pops up [in] comes to my phone because I’m, like, obsessed. I need to know what’s going on. So every day, every day there’s like 30 ‘Kaley Cuoco nude photos’ [alerts]. It’s been going on for years. So then this one came up and I was like, ‘Oh, it’s another fake one, then I started getting emails like, ‘No, there are some real ones going around. It was just a really bad situation but I took it in my own hands and make a joke about it because what are you gonna do? You gotta make fun of yourself.”

Kaley Cuoco’s lack of reaction to the naked photo leak, for many, solidified their fandom and appreciation for the actress. She took that same ability to laugh at herself and applied it to some other sexually charged issues she encountered in her career.

For instance, Kaley revealed on a podcast that she believes The Big Bang Theory‘s producers forced her into sex scenes on the show as an elaborate prank. Cuoco had been dating her co-star Johnny Galecki and the two broke up.

When they broke up, suddenly Kaley Cuoco started having these elaborate, sort of naked, sex scenes for them on the show. Kaley believes it was intentional, a way to mess with her and force her into compromising positions with a former lover who she’d recently dumped.

KALEY CUOCO GOT HER START ON TELEVISION

It sure didn’t seem like eventually Kaley Cuoco naked would be a thing when it came to her career. She was 6 years old when she first jumped onto the TV screens in the 1992 TV movie Quicksand: No Escape. It also starred Donald Sutherland (Animal House, The Dirty Dozen) and Tim Matheson (Animal House, Up The Creek). It wasn’t a memorable movie, but it got Cuoco on the board, propelling her to bigger and better things.

Throughout the remainder of the ‘90s, Kaley Cuoco bounced back and forth from TV series to feature movies, while also tossing in another TV movie.

She was seen on TV shows such as Northern Exposure, My So-Called Life, Ellen, The Wonderful World Of Disney, and The Tony Danza Show. On the big screen, she had parts in Virtuosity, Picture Perfect, and Can’t Be Heaven.

Kaley Cuoco hit the 2000s running. As she got older, the parts came in bunches. In 2000 alone, Cuoco was in two TV movies (Growing Up Brady portraying Maureen McCormick, and Alley Cats Strike) and three TV series, Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush, Homewood P.I., and Ladies Man.

As the 2000s rolled on, so did Kaley Cuoco’s busy career. She stuck mainly to the TV circuit, finding roles in 7^th Heaven, The Nightmare Room, and Complete Savages. Cuoco also did some voice work, as she was heard on the TV series Loonatics Unleashed, Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, and Bratz.

8 SIMPLE RULES WAS HER FIRST BIG BREAK

Kaley Cuoco got her first “big” break on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules. She played Bridget Hennessy, daughter to Kate and Paul, who were played by Katey Sagal (Married With Children) and John Ritter (Three’s Company). There was no threat of Kaley Cuoco naked issues here, seeing as how it was a network series.

The series was meant as a vehicle for John Ritter but his untimely death in 2003 changed the course of the show. Katey Sagal and Kaley Cuoco, along with Amy Davidson, continued on with the series for another two seasons before it was brought to an end.

Cuoco moved on to star for a couple of seasons on the hit show Charmed, which led her into her BIG show.

KALEY CUOCO IS PENNY IN THE BIG BANG THEORY

The Big Bang Theory began in 2007 and while the ratings weren’t huge during its first season, the show eventually became a hit and also one of the longest-running sitcoms in TV history. And while fans of the series (and the characters themselves) might have been picturing Kaley Cuoco naked throughout her run, that was mostly the gestalt of the series.

Kaley Cuoco played Penny, an aspiring actress who waited tables while waiting for her big break. The series ran for 12 seasons and 281 episodes, with Cuoco featured in 280 of them.

Throughout the series, her character was paired with Leonard (Johnny Galecki, who was once her real-life boyfriend) in a will-they-won’t-they situation. Leonard eventually wore down Penny, they married, and even though her character was against having children, the series finale shows Penny giving Leonard what he wished for: a baby they could raise together.

To say this was the role of a lifetime would be a complete understatement. By the end of her run on the show, Kaley Cuoco was making about a million dollars per episode. All told, it is estimated she earned more than $150 million dollars for her time on The Big Bang Theory. And with the show in syndication, that number is set to only increase over the years.

KALEY CUOCO STARS IN HBO’S THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT

Kaley Cuoco didn’t focus solely on Big Bang. The fact that it was a hit show opened more doors for her during her time off from the set. She was seen in movies such as Cougar Club, The Penthouse, The Last Ride, and The Wedding Ringer with Kevin Hart and Josh Gad. She definitely didn’t suffer for work.

But after the series went off the air, it wasn’t clear what big role Kaley Cuoco would take next. It turned out to be a deviation from her time as Penny. In 2020, HBO released The Flight Attendant, an adaptation of the Chris Bohjalian novel of the same name.

In the series, Cuoco plays Cassie Bowden, a flight attendant with a major blackout drinking problem who finds herself in a bit of a mess when a lover of hers turns up dead after their night together. It sets her on a path of comedic intrigue in which she really can’t trust herself or those around her. There were some “clothes calls” as far as Kaley Cuoco getting naked on the show, but they haven’t had to go fully there.

The series came back for a second season in 2022 and has earned massive acclaim for Kaley Cuoco. The show was nominated for an Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy and Cuoco was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. That happened for both seasons, though they didn’t come home with either award.

It is assumed, though not confirmed, that The Flight Attendant will return for a third season.

KALEY CUOCO HAS BEEN MARRIED TWICE AND DIVORCED TWICE. SHE IS NOW EXPECTING A CHILD

As stated before, Kaley Cuoco dated co-star Johnny Galecki for a couple of years while they were on The Bang Bang Theory together. But in 2013, she married tennis player Ryan Sweeting. The marriage lasted less than three years and they were divorced in 2016.

Then she met and married Karl Cook in 2018. That one also only lasted a few years and the two were divorced in 2022.

She is now dating actor Tom Pelphrey. He’s been a soap opera star for many years and was also recently seen in Netflix’s Ozark playing the brother of Laura Linney’s character.

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are expecting their first child sometime this year after making an official announcement back in May.
