Home arcade maker Arcade1Up just revealed their recent arcade cabinets, which are the spot-on replicas of their ‘90s counterparts. The newest additions to the company’s line of products are The Simpsons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time, and the iconic X-Men arcade cabinets. That’s right; you can now own the iconic X-Men arcade machine.

Well, not right now, since Arcade1Up has a pre-order date set for July 15th, 2021, allowing you to place orders for the X-Men arcade from that date onward. Until the machines become available for pre-order, Arcade1Up implemented a “Notify Me” system, which would notify customers of products and availability updates. Pre-order prices on all recent cabinets still aren’t disclosed, but we suspect the X-Men arcade pre-order will feature a lower price than the forecasted full sale price of $500

The X-Men arcade machine is the exact replica of the X-Men 4 Player arcade game; an instant smash hit from 1992, which featured character designs straight from the Pryde of the X-Men animated pilot. It allowed players to control Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, or Dazzler, in a plot that set the X-Men up against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants led by the mutant mastermind Magneto. In addition, it allowed up to four simultaneous players, fantastic mutant powers, and endless fun, which you can now have as a part of your family game rooms, man caves, or office break rooms.

Though the X-Men arcade replica contains all the original features, it brings some improvements to the table, most notably Live WIFI, enabling you to fight the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with fellow retro gamers playing from their own arcade cabinets. But that’s not all. The classic Captain America and the Avengers game is also included, along with The Avengers in Galactic Storm, encased in this gorgeous cabinet with fantastic artwork and a matching riser.

Other arcade cabinets from the same lineup as the X-Men arcade machine include The Simpsons, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time machines, set to retail for $600, and Ms. Pacman/Galaga Class of ’81 joint arcade for $500. The latter will include 12 additional games, including Mappy, Dig Dug, and more. But perhaps the most interesting of the bunch is the new Street Fighter II arcade cabinet containing multiple versions of the game, including the Turbo and Champion editions. It will also feature twelve additional games, including Darkstalkers and Saturday Night Slam Masters – an all-in-one package retailing for only $500.

Arcade1Up is best known for making affordable and faithful recreations of vintage arcade game cabinets. The company offers over 50 different retro games, including well over 30 arcade cabinets featuring individual or collection games, several pinball machines, and two 6-button controllers with HDMI and wireless capabilities. The newly announced cabinets like the X-Men arcade machine are a part of the company’s E3 2021 presentation, which awoke nostalgic feelings in anyone who hung at the mall or in arcades in the ‘90s, proving that money can be made of nostalgia. We may even end up picking up one of these before all is said and done.
