Disney fans should be plenty happy when they see the new game that has been created. Pixar Games and Gameloft have teamed up to create a life-simulation game that allows the player to literally create their own magical realm that is full of the best Disney characters. This new game, titled Disney Dreamlight Valley, is essentially what you would get if you combined Animal Crossing with Disney. See all the magical creation and excitement in the trailer below:

The trailer opens with some narration and fan-favorite characters. Buzz Lightyear, Ursula, and Kristoff are shown first as the general point of the game are revealed. It sounds like every part of Disney storylines, as there is something called “The Forgetting” happening, which has caused the world to be covered in vines and look dark. Clearly, we have all forgotten how to be children with magical imaginations, so it’s up to players in Disney Dreamlight Valley to correct that. This is achieved by farming materials to create some of the most notable lands from the films. An avatar of a player is shown running through various lands and shows the game is to be played in a third-person perspective. There is a lot to digest, including the massive number of characters that are shown in the latter parts of the trailer. Ralph, Scar, Moana, Woody, Sully, and so much more make their way into the trailer.

One of the best aspects of this game is the sheer amount of customization that is shown. From building your in-game houses up to the rooms within, and even clothes. They all seem to mimic Disney characters in some fashion, literally. We eyed a Buzz Lightyear jacket, and we cannot wait to unlock that. Also, there is a moment when the player is fishing with Goofy. If he teaches us how to do “The Perfect Cast,” we are going to be all-in on this game. Disney Dreamlight Valley is surely a game that will excite nostalgic fans who grew up on the early Disney incarnations and newer fans who love films like Frozen and Moana. Also, cooking with Remy. We must cook with Remy.

While there have been plenty of “base building” games that have been developed throughout the years, it’s a wonder why a more expansive Disney-themed one has not come out sooner. However, guess Disney realized how successful games like Animal Crossing are, and they wanted to get in on that space. Disney Dreamlight Valley sounds to be the kind of relaxing and “go at your own pace” type of game that is meant to fill everyone’s imagination again.

Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and what appears to be the iOS store as well. The game will be free-to-play and be released in 2023. An open beta and early access chance of sorts will be available to those who buy a “Founders Pack” or those who have an existing Xbox Game Pass subscription. For everyone else, look for Disney Dreamlight Valley to likely be released in early 2023.
