Ahsoka Tano Star Wars Game In Development?
Will we soon have an Ahsoka Tano game? A new rumor says one is in development.

Everyone can agree that Rosario Dawson’s live-action debut as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian was absolutely fantastic, which prompted Disney+ to commission a spin-off series to continue her adventures. However, if the new rumor is true, Disney and its in-house game developer Lucasfilm Games have another ace up their sleeve – a Star Wars game featuring Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano as the protagonist.
After a series of rumors and speculations, it would seem that Disney and Lucasfilm are developing a new Star Wars game with Ahsoka Tano as the lead character, as reported by the industry’s insider, Daniel Richtman. Is it possible that Rosario Dawson herself could be starring as Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan? Some wires might’ve got crossed here since Disney doesn’t develop gaming titles based on its IPs in-house but rather licenses them out to external developers through its subsidiary, Lucasfilm Game, which was an active gaming developer for Lucasfilm (predating Disney’s acquisition).
It’s worth noting that Electronic Arts had exclusive rights to produce Star Wars games, which the company lost in January of this year when Disney announced the revival of Lucasfilm Games. Since then, Disney has licensed its IPs to various gaming developers, including MachineGames, which is working on a new Indiana Jones gaming title, and Massive Entertainment developing an untitled open-world Star Wars game. EA games decided to postpone its show-and-tell of another Star Wars game, rumored to be a Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, delaying it for next year’s Star Wars Celebration event. But that doesn’t mean that an unknown developer isn’t contemplating what an Ahsoka Tano video game might look like.
Due to Disney’s efforts to create a unified canon, which caused some minor problems for some franchises, the alleged game would have to fit in Ahsoka Tano’s existing adventures. The game could start shorty after Ahsoka led Din Djarin, the now-famous Mandalorian from the same-name TV series, into the ruins of a Tython temple or depict the events that led to Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. The options here are limitless, as long as they remain within the confines of Disney’s unified canon. Star Wars lore has significantly expanded in the past decade, well beyond the original trilogy; enough to give even the most imaginative screenwriters a headache so big that it can only be matched by the size of the source material – which is massive.
It’s quite easy to imagine a game similar to 2008’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed or the more recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order type of game, in which we’ll see Ahsoka Tano wield her dual lightsabers. This could potentially step on the toes of the alleged Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, whose development is still under a big question mark. EA teased the possibility of a sequel, but perhaps they are aiming to steer the fandom towards a Jedi-oriented game while developing an Ahsoka Tano game. Given the lack of details surrounding the rumored game, it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt. It may turn out the be a mobile title rather than a next-gen console experience. If that turns out to be true, we wonder if the game will be available for the Steam Deck?
