Actor Zoe Saldana is gearing up for the premiere of her newest film, Avatar: The Way of Water, which opens everywhere in theaters on December 16. In preparation for the release of the next installment in the Avatar franchise, Saldana has been posting pictures and videos to Instagram to show off her glam looks as only a true movie star knows how to do. In her latest video, Zoe Saldana struts her stuff and dances for the camera in a sparkly see-through top, set to the music of “I Am Woman” by Emmy Meli.
Always the stunner in movies and on social media, Zoe Saldana is portraying the playful part of her Instagram post with the hashtag #woman in a yellow see-through gown. Liked by more than 82,000 people so far since the video went on social media this week, Saldana’s friend Rosario Dawson and other celebrities have commented on the post to share their appreciation for Saldana’s beauty and humor on camera. With cheeky smiles and gorgeous long hair, Saldana is an A-list actor who knows how to promote her style at the same time that she promotes her newest film.
Directed by James Cameron, Zoe Saldana will star in Avatar: The Way of Water alongside Kate Winslet, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Joel David Moore. The second installment of Cameron’s Avatar franchise, the new film has been heralded by critics who previewed the flick prior to its release, which was made on a budget of a staggering $400 million. Rotten Tomatoes currently ranks Avatar: The Way of Water as Certified Fresh with a rating of 81% on its Tomatometer based on 204 critics’ reviews.
But as successful as Avatar: The Way of Water will most likely be once audiences get a chance to see it starting this weekend, Zoe Saldana is well-versed in helping to make a franchise both financially successful and critically acclaimed. The first Avatar broke records at the box office, eventually taking in more than $2.9 billion against a budget of $237 million. The movie is regarded as the highest-grossing film of all time, beating Avengers: Endgame which also featured Zoe Saldana in her starring role of Gamora, first introduced in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
2009’s Avatar went on to be nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and helped solidify Zoe Saldana as a bonafide movie star of an epic science fiction franchise. Saldana has followed up her Avatar success by appearing in a number of other franchises, including the Star Trek films directed by J.J. Abrams in addition to Justin Lin’s 2016 entry, Star Trek Beyond.
Aside from Avatar: The Way of Water, the beautiful Zoe Saldana will next be featured as part of the ensemble cast of James Gunn’s 2023 film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will mark the conclusion of many of the characters featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that initially appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy.
