Young Rock is a sitcom that details the life of Dwayne Johnson. From his time as a child to becoming one of the most popular wrestlers of all time, into what means to be his potential presidential run. The show serves as an autobiography of the man’s life and the newest season will air soon, which is set to detail his family’s struggles while he attempts to decide on the potential grind to becoming a professional wrestler. Season two of the show has now officially cast one of the most important figures in Dwayne Johnson’s life during this period. Johnson’s college sweetheart, who would become his ex-wife, then his business partner will be part of the second season of the show in a reoccurring role. Arlyn Broche is taking on the role of that woman, Dany Garcia.

Fans of Dwayne Johnson and the shows that he has been on will immediately recognize Arlyn Broche from her time on the show, Ballers. Broche played Tonya on the second season of Ballers, and it’s said to have been a breakout role for the actress. Her impact was surely important as she has been asked back to portray one of the most influential people in Johnson’s life. Dany is said to be caring and a disciplined athlete who is also a future CEO. Her character is meant to be integral during this time as she is Johnson’s college sweetheart while he was going to school at Miami. She is also a driving force that helped the man decide on becoming a professional wrestler.
Young Rock Season 2 is set to air on March 15th, and so far, the NBC show has been a hit. With the multitude of projects that Dwayne Johnson is a part of, it’s good to see that he is taking the time to continue the sitcom that is detailing his life’s journey. The first season currently has a 90% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% audience rating. Clearly, the critics and audiences agree that more of Young Rock needs to happen. Fans will not have to wait much longer to see the new season premiere and to see Arlyn Broche return alongside Johnson. The initial season was 10 episodes long and the hope is that the second season will be longer, though those details have not been revealed yet.
Dwayne Johson has a plethora of projects coming out, though his upcoming appearances in the DC League of Super-Pets and Black Adam have recently been delayed. However, Young Rock Season 2 is right around the corner, so fans of Johson won’t have to wait much longer to see the man appear in some sort of entertainment medium. Although the show is going to be released on a week-by-week basis, that is at least 10 weeks of being able to see more of arguably one of the biggest actors in the world. With the upcoming season detailing his life right before he breaks into superstardom through the WWE, it is going to be interesting to see what happens before he became The Rock.
