See The Yellowstone Cast Hilariously Made As Funko Pops

The Yellowstone cast is being immortalized in the form of a new Funko Pop collection. The collaboration is a little strange, to say the least, but the toy company will be making Funko figurines of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton along with Beth Dutton, Kayce Dutton, Monica Dutton, and Rip Wheeler. Hopefully, these Funko Pop figurines don’t end up in a landfill anytime soon.
If you’ve ever wanted a tiny version of the Yellowstone cast on your desk or shelves, Funko will sell them to you for $11.99. The figures are available to pre-order now, so Funko and Yellowstone fans can have their own tiny ranch at home. The site lists them as available on August 2023, which should hopefully be around the time the show releases the second half of its fifth season.
It is a bit strange that we’re seeing Funko release a collection of Yellowstone cast figurines so soon after the aforementioned landfill controversy. The company tossed $30 million worth of inventory because the cost of storing the unsold figures was greater than the cost of just disposing of them. As popular as Yellowstone is, it doesn’t seem super likely that fans of the show are chomping at the bit to fill their shelves with Funkos of John Dutton and Rip Wheeler.
While you might be able to gather the Yellowstone cast together through your Funko figures, the end of Season 5 might be the last time you’ll see them on screen together. Rumors are swirling that this might be the last season of the show in its current iteration. According to reports, Kevin Costner had conflicts with the shooting schedules for the fifth season, and there were talks of him not returning. However, both Costner and Paramount have denied the reports of these conflicts in separate statements.
Yellowstone cast member Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, has also said that there is another season in the works. Whether this is true and whether Kevin Costner returns for that season remains to be seen. Other rumors suggested that Matthew McConaughey was in talks with Paramount and creator Taylor Sheridan to take over as the lead, and it has since been confirmed that he will lead a spin-off of the popular franchise.
This Matthew McConaughey series would add to the other planned spin-offs that are in the works for the franchise. These spin-offs include 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, 1944, and 6666. Maybe if the Funko Pops of the Yellowstone cast doesn’t end up in landfills, we’ll see Funko collections of the spin-off characters as well.
As for the second part of Season 5, there’s no official word on when we can expect to see the Yellowstone cast return yet. The first half of the season hit Paramount+ at the beginning of the year, and the second half is supposedly coming out sometime this summer. The Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren-led prequel series 1923 is also due to release a second season in the near future.
