Marvel Star Joins Sylvester Stallone For Tulsa King Season 2
Fans of the Paramount+ series Tulsa King will get to see Frank Grillo take on the role of Bill Bevilaqua when the second season premieres this fall. Grillo, whose action-film prowess is on the rise. Grillo is slated to be a regular cast member for the second season, paving the way for his Bill Bevilaqua to be enemy #1 for Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi.
Frank Grillo’s Early Career
Tulsa King‘s Bill Bevilaqua is the latest arrow in Frank Grillo’s already large quiver of roles. Grillo began his career far from the action and horror films he is most noted for today, co-starring on the popular soap opera Guiding Light in more than 100 episodes throughout the early 1990s. Bit parts in the films The Sweetest Thing and Minority Report slowly boosted his movie career in the early 2000s, while his familiarity on television blossomed with regular roles in Prison Break and Kill Point.
Frank Grillo In Marvel And The Purge
Frank Grillo’s career as an action star was cemented when he starred in the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier as supervillain Brock Rumlow. He reprised that role twice, appearing in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame. He also had starring roles in two films in the dystopian The Purge franchise, The Purge: Election Year and The Purge: Anarchy.
Tulsa King
Tulsa King is the story of a New York mafia member Dwight Manfredi that was recently released from prison after serving a 25-year sentence for murder. Rather than be welcomed back into the fold by his crime boss, Manfredi is sent by the mob family to Tulsa to work. The growing empire that Manfredi gets off the ground in Oklahoma city undergoes a series of internal and external threats throughout the nine episodes that it ran in 2022, with the new season looking to have Frank Grillo’s Bevilaqua character try to capture Manfredi’s business interests.
The Cast
Joining Stallone and Frank Grillo will be Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Annabella Sciorra, Garrett Hedlund, Martin Starr, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, and Jay Will. Stallone is not only slated to return as the star of Tulsa King but is also slated to return as the show’s executive producer.

With the addition of Frank Grillo to the cast of Tulsa King, fans are buzzing online about what Bill Bevilaqua’s antics might include. Though the character is being widely regarded as a nemesis for Stallone’s Manfredi, some are speculating that they could join forces against the New York mob family that Manfredi used to embrace.
