Tulsa King’s Fate Has Been Decided
This article is more than 2 years old
Sylvester Stallone is staying plenty busy, as the 76-year-old action star continues his dominance in movies, but he has now taken his talents to the small screen, as he stars in Tulsa King. The new Paramount+ series has been going quite well, as it knocked out House of the Dragon as the highest-rated show on TV. That fantastic news has led to the series being renewed, as Tulsa King Season 2 will move ahead with Stallone returning as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi.
Taylor Sheridan clearly knows what he is doing when it comes to dramatic television, as he has hit a home run with the biggest show on TV, Yellowstone. Now, Tulsa King Season 2 can be added to the growing list of successes for Sheridan. Tulsa King was only three episodes into its first season when Paramount pulled the trigger to bring back Stallone’s mafioso lifestyle.
Tulsa King follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, as he gets out of prison, though he is unceremoniously exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma. While there, Dwight decides to start another criminal empire with the help of some unlikely characters. The series officially aired on Sunday, November 13th, and has released an episode every week since then. With 10 episodes on the docket, we would imagine that Tulsa King Season 2 is going to be the same amount, though the release date might not be until 2024.
Tulsa King Season 2 might have just been approved by Paramount, but it always takes at least a year of production for a series to make its way back to air. Considering we are already in December we would imagine that Sheridan and the company will not get going on the second season until the beginning of 2023. This would mean that we could expect to see Stallone return as Dwight Manfredi in the spring of 2024, but hopefully sooner.
Sylvester Stallone is joined by Martin Starr, Andrea Savage, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, and many more. Their collective efforts are going over well with both critics and audiences, as the series currently holds a “certified fresh” rating of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, with an even more favorable 86% audience approval rating. Tulsa King Season 2 will ceratinly have a lot to live up to, but we would imagine that Taylor Sheridan knows where he is going to be taking this new organized crime story next.
Apart from his now scheduled starring role in Tulsa King Season 2, Sylvester Stallone is staying busy with his other blockbuster hits. The man is set to reprise his role as Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, when it arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023. Also, releasing in 2023 is The Expendables 4, which will see Stallone return as Barney Ross alongside franchise regulars Randy Couture, Jason Statham, and Dolph Lundgren.
Fans of Sylvester Stallone can see the man in his hit series, Tulsa King, as there are currently three episodes avvailable to stream on Paramount+. Though the episodes are relased weekly, there will surely be enough to catch up after the season ends, in preparation for Tulsa King Season 2.
