We are all patiently waiting to see Thor: Love and Thunder either tonight or tomorrow when it officially gets released in theaters. The marketing and excitement for the film has been quite palpable, with stars dropping behind-the-scenes photos, stories, and everything else that is making all fans of Marvel salivate. The newest behind-the-scenes knowledge comes from Natalie Portman, who portrays Jane Foster aka The Mighty Thor. The actress has revealed one of the best scenes from the film was shot in the parking lot of a Best Buy. How’s that for movie magic?

According to Portman, “There’s one scene that’s one of the most visually beautiful scenes I’ve seen on film, and we shot [it] in real life in a Best Buy parking lot.” That is certainly unbelievable considering that Thor: Love and Thunder looks striking from the trailers alone. Ragnarok had the same type of style, and we know that the visuals in the film were outstanding. This goes to show that Taika Waititi and the SFX crew are doing their best to bring us the most beautiful film while using some nifty tricks to get that done. Portman added, “It’s so wild to be on this size of movie, and we were literally in a parking lot with a blue screen, doing this really dramatic thing. It looks so stunning on film, but every time I see it, I’m like, ‘That’s a Best Buy parking lot.'”

It is quite strange that the usage of something so simple has led to one of the most beautiful scenes in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, great filmmakers can find ways to make anything look gorgeous by using the bare minimum of technologies. Taika Waititi is a masterful director, so it makes perfect sense that he would get something so awe-striking by simply using a screen in a Best Buy parking lot. Natalie Portman has been offering fans plenty of the tricks used while filming this new MCU entry. Naturally, now that she is wielding Mjolnir in the film, it has made her bigger than expected. So, she also spoke about how the crew basically created a deck for her to walk on next to Chris Hemsworth, so that she might be seen as big as he is. She needs the “mighty” to be in The Mighty Thor.

Clearly, Taika Waititi is using what he must to ensure he is getting the best product for Thor: Love and Thunder, and the director has also spoken about how this film is the most ambitious thing he has ever done. We wonder if the scene in the parking lot has to do with Hemsworth showing off his rear end. Imagine the shoppers that day driving by and seeing that. Either way, we are excited to see what this film has to offer and find out which scene was shot via the bonus features went the film makes it to homes in the next six months.

Thor: Love and Thunder officially debuts tomorrow, but fans can check out the “midnight” release of the film starting tonight in whatever time zone you happen to be in. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Taika Waititi, Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Russell Crowe, and so many more. We can’t wait to see what happens in this film. Everyone make sure to see if you can spot the Best Buy logo somewhere in the background. We are kidding, as there is no way that is going to happen.
