Boba Fett Star Temuera Morrison Begging Not To Be Left Out Of Star Wars
With recent news that the SAG-AFTRA workers have joined the WGA in striking for better pay and fairer treatment, along with word that Disney plans to pare down upcoming Star Wars projects to just the bare minimum, things aren’t looking good for all of the characters in a galaxy far far away. One Star Wars alumni, Temuera Morrison, has decided to take action, by personally showing up to Lucasfilm headquarters to ensure his character, Boba Fett, doesn’t fall by the wayside.
Morrison explained his plan during a recent appearance at a London comic con, stating “Well, this is why I was gonna pop in, to see what’s going on, and make sure they’re not gonna put me on a shelf. We can’t have that, right?”
Before appearing as Boba Fett in series such as The Mandalorian, Temuera Morrison portrayed the bounty hunter’s genetically identical father, Jango Fett, all the way back in 2002’s Attack of the Clones.
Temuera Morrison admits during his appearance that perhaps the Star Wars brand has underutilized Boba Fett during his tenure with the character, expressing wishes to do the intergalactic bounty hunter justice in future appearances. Specifically, Morrison references the fact that the character’s latest outing, 2021’s The Book of Boba Fett series on Disney+, may have revealed too much personal backstory for the character, rather than relying on ways to make him seem as badass as possible to the viewing public.

Before appearing as Boba Fett in series such as The Mandalorian, Temuera Morrison portrayed the bounty hunter’s genetically identical father, Jango Fett, all the way back in 2002’s Attack of the Clones. Since then, Morrison has brought Boba Fett to life in a number of live-action and voice appearances, including video games such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Temuera Morrison is also scheduled to appear as another character in the Star Wars canon very soon.
Temuera Morrison in Ahsoka
According to IMDb, Temuera Morrison is set to portray Captain Rex in the upcoming Star Wars: Ahsoka series which premieres on August 23. As fans will no doubt already know, Rex is one of many clone troopers who, like Boba Fett, were cloned from Jango Fett.
Ahsoka stars big name actors such as Rosario Dawson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and David Tenant, as well as Hayden Christensen, who will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker. Recent trailers for the series seem to have Star Wars fans extremely excited, particularly because the main villain is Grand Admiral Thrawn, as portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen.
Any way you slice it, Temuera Morrison is happy to be on board for more Star Wars projects, even as Lucasfilm prepares to eliminate the extraneous installments from their announced lineup. Of course, the now-combined strikes from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA mean there will be no filming for new productions any time soon. All Star Wars fans can do for now is wait and hope for the best.
