Suits Spinoff With Sci-Fi Star Is Now Finally On Streaming
Despite being a few years old, Suits is still trending on streaming, especially on Netflix, which recently added the show to its library. If you already watched all eight seasons of Suits on Netflix or any other streaming platform that hosts the show, you’ll be happy to learn that the spin-off series, Pearson, starring Gina Torres, has just landed on Peacock.

As per Peacock’s own Instagram post, the Suits cinematic universe is expanding, and all ten episodes of Pearson are now available on the Peacock streaming platform. Now, those who are actually familiar with the Suits universe also know of the spin-off series that follows Jessica Pearson—portrayed by Gina Torres—one of the main characters from the OG show, released in 2019, but it is also currently riding the Suits’ popularity wave now that the interest in the show has been renewed by its hosting on Netflix.
Gina Torres reprises her role as Jessica Pearson, a now-disbarred New York lawyer who has moved full-time to Chicago to start a new life and pursue her career in midwestern politics, and just like the Suits series, the political drama follows Jessica’s legal and political battles.
Will Pearson Get Another Season?
Peacock received ten episodes in its first season. Unfortunately, despite Gina Torres’ strong performance, the series was canceled after Season One. No particular reason was ever disclosed, but there were several reasons speculated for the cancelation.
One such reason was low ratings and viewership numbers, especially since Pearson had a considerably smaller audience compared to Suits, and that viewership declined further during the course of the season.
The reason behind that could be a mixed critical response, with some critics appreciating the show, while others believed that it lacks the charm and appeal of the original series. Lastly, there were some discrepancies between Suits and Pearson, mostly in terms of tonality and genre.

Suits were primarily a legal drama with rather complex cases and dynamic office politics within Pearson Specter Litt. Gina Torres’ Pearson, on the other hand, delved more into the politics and Chicago’s political arena, so its tone and genre shift quite possibly didn’t resonate well with a segment of Suits’s fandom—which perhaps expected something more similar to the original series—ultimately leading to poor ratings and low viewership.
Regardless of what might have caused the network to cancel Pearson, the fans of the series were gravely disappointed with the decision.
