Black Friday is here and with the unofficial sales holiday comes an incredible deal on a 12-month Hulu subscription. The Hollywood Reporter shared a deal for new and existing Hulu subscribers to get a year-long subscription to the ad-supported tier for only $1.99 a month, provided customers sign up between now and November 28th. Normally this tier costs $7.99 a month, but the Black Friday promotion will save customers $72 to watch hits like Only Murders in the Building and The Dropout.

Hulu, one of the first widely-marketed streaming sites, still boasts a substantial catalog of original shows and existing series only available to stream on the platform. Back in the day, the Tyler Labine comedy Deadbeat was one of the only original shows available, but now Hulu has over one hundred original programs ranging from mockumentaries to reality shows and serial dramas. Some of the streaming platform’s original programs have even won prestigious awards once reserved for cable and network channels.

The Handmaid’s Tale, which started airing on Hulu in 2017, has won the streaming service eight Primetime Emmys. The Elisabeth Moss series will air its sixth and final season next year before show creator Bruce Miller moves on to adapting another Margaret Atwood novel set in Gilead, The Testaments. For viewers interested in something a bit lighter, the platform has other options, including their own movies.

Of the Hulu original movies, the Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck erotic thriller Deep Water, is one that in previous decades would have played only in theaters. Today, the tale of a housewife allowed to cheat while the husband claims responsibility for one of her dead lovers, is only available via streaming. Offsetting the dark, cat and mouse thriller is another original choice from a pair of comedic actors with an odd sci-fi twist.

Andy Samberg, star of Brooklyn 99, and Cristin Milioti, the titular Mother from How I Met Your Mother, star in Palm Springs. Every streaming service needs a Groundhog Day-style program, and the movie Palm Springs is just that for Hulu. The actors star as a married couple that relives their wedding day over and over and over and over while having too much fun without any repercussions thanks to the time loop.

$1.99 a month to watch original shows and movies is the best price Hulu has been available at for a long time, but the service does not just have original programs. Exclusive to Hulu are the hit adult animated comedies, Archer and Bob’s Burgers, both starring H. Jon Benjamin as the respective title characters. For those that want to cringe uncomfortably while laughing, the gang from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is only available on Hulu without shelling out an extra cost.

Finally, one of the most acclaimed dramas of the last ten years can only be streamed on Hulu, The Americans. Starring Keri Russel and Matthew Rhys as deep-cover Soviet spies in the 1980s, the hit drama follows the couple as they evade the FBI and attempt to raise their children in America. $1.99 a month for 12 months is only available to those that sign up for Hulu before November 28th.
