Stranger Things Season 5 Description Is Terrifyingly Amazing
The Duffer Brothers tweeted that Stranger Things Season 5 is like if Seasons 1 and 4 had a baby and then put it on steroids.
Everyone is dying to know what Stranger Things Season 5 will be like. Will there be another huge showdown with Vecna? Will there be more wholesome moments between the boys and Eleven over a game of Dungeons and Dragons? Will a beloved character die??? The Stranger Things writers just released an update… which only serves to make us even more impatient. As they posted on Twitter, “Season 5 is like if season 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids.”
Fans immediately took to the comments section to geek out about what this cryptic statement could mean. Some said simply, “What?” or “Oh god,” or posted gifs with Stranger Things characters looking shocked or excited. Others, though, begged to know more about Stranger Things Season 5.
One of the biggest questions on their minds was whether everyone’s favorite single mom raising six kids on his own – a.k.a. Steve Harrington, played by Joe Keery – will be safe in Stranger Things Season 5, as fans swear they just couldn’t take it if they lost him. It was bad enough to lose lovable, hard-rocking DnD fanatic Eddie Munsen (Joseph Quinn) in Season 4, but long-time fans of the show would be completely devastated to lose Steve, who went from being a pretty crappy boyfriend in Season 1 to a great babysitter to a really cool friend and all-around good guy in one of the best redemption arcs on television.
Other commenters asked for more details about Will Beyers (Noah Schnapp), who we’re all pretty sure will play a huge part in Stranger Things Season 5. It was established in Season 4 that the boy with the always stylish chili-bowl haircut has a deep and important connection with Vecna/Henry Creel and the Upside Down, but how will he use that to stop whatever threat is now coming for Hawkins?
Another big Stranger Things Season 5 question is: what will become of skateboarding badass Max, played by Sadie Sink? When we last saw her, she was in a coma, having barely survived her run-in with Vecna thanks to a quick but possibly late intervention by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Will she, too, get psychic powers? Will she even wake up? We need more details!
There has been no news yet of a release date for Stranger Things Season 5, but David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Jim Hopper, confirmed that shooting will begin this June. It has also been confirmed that the show is in production already and has been since the end of last year.
Stranger Things Season 5 will be the final season of Netflix’s flagship series, and its writers, The Duffer Brothers, are slowly doling out tidbits of information about what might happen in the plot. Aside from their recent tweet about the baby on steroids, they previously revealed that a time jump will occur between Season 4 and Season 5… perhaps in part because all the “kids” are now young adults in real life.
The Duffer Brothers had originally wanted to shoot Stranger Things Season 4 and Season 5 back-to-back, but this wasn’t possible, so they had to tweak their original idea. If it is really a combination of Seasons 1 and 4, as they say, we can surely expect lots of bonding between the original group of friends, lots of heartwarming moments, some terrifying creatures, and a lot of big, epic action.
