This article is more than 2 years old
With the recent premiere of the first part of the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things bulldozing streaming records everywhere, many fans are eager to get their hands on the second part. While it’s been a long time coming between the third and fourth installments (three years to be exact) of the sci-fi series, it feels even longer waiting to find out what will happen to our favorite kids and adults in Hawkins. With the release of Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2 one full month away, it feels like there’s no relief in sight.
To help quell some of our thirst for the follow-up, Netflix has dropped a teaser surrounding all things Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2. Well, kind of. The teaser pretty much tells us what we already know – the Heroes of Hawkins ™ will continue to fight the baddies from the Upside-Down. The trailer reveals the showdown we’ve been waiting for between Eleven and Vecna along with the playout of several other side stories. We have the gang of kids spread out across the world and Hopper and his team coming face to face with more terrifying monsters than ever before – although for now, they’re being held back by laboratory tubes.
Even though it’s 30-ish days away, we already have high hopes for Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2. Overall, the latest installment was announced to be five hours longer than the last three seasons with an explosive 2.5 – hour finale. That’s pretty much a Marvel movie-length episode. And it’s great that the production decided to do that as the second part of the fourth season only consists of two episodes. The series already has all the makings of a sci-fi film franchise, so it will be fun to see the final moments of the fourth season play out as such. That last episode will also be the lead-up to the show’s final season which will happen with its fifth installment.
After only two weeks on the streamer, the first part of Stranger Things Season 4 has already hit several milestones including the shot at becoming Netflix’s most-watched English language series. It’s also been a huge success for iconic singer Kate Bush who has once again found success with her 1985 mega-hit “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)”. The song was featured in one of the most talked-about scenes and has quickly launched Bush back to the top of the music game – this time with streaming-based listens. The show has been long praised for its soundtrack which stays true to its base decade of the 1980s, so we can’t wait to see – or rather hear – what else is coming in Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2.
The Duffer Brothers created series boasts a cast made up of Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Charlie Heaton, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Matthew Modine, Paul Riser, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Gabriella Pizzolo, Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, and Eduardo Franco.
