Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Reveals First Look With New Poster
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds debuted the first look at Season 2 with a colorful poster.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 is on its way, and now we’ve got a beautiful first look with this newly released promotional poster. The poster for the Paramount+ Original series shows the shadow USS Enterprise flying over a colorful planetary atmosphere. Take a look at the Twitter post of the poster below:
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 will continue to follow Captain Pike and the crew of the USS Enterprise exploring the galaxy before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series. Anson Mount will reprise his role as Pike with Ethan Peck as Spock and Rebecca Romijin as Number One. Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun also reprise their roles from the first season.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 will also feature Paul Wesley returning to reprise the role of William Shatner’s Captain James T. Kirk after his surprise appearance in the season one finale. The second season should feature more of Wesley’s Kirk as it explores his relationship with his brother George Samuel “Sam” Kirk, who is played by Dan Jeannotte. Carol Kane will also be joining the cast of the second season as the new engineer Pelia, who is replacing chief engineer Hemmer after his death in season one.
Fans of the animated comedy Star Trek: Lower Decks should also look forward to the crossover episode that is set to air as part of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2. Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid will be reprising their roles as Beckett Mariner and Brad Bomier from Star Trek: Lower Decks. TNG vet Jonathan Frakes will also be directing the crossover episode.
The crossover episode will also feature animated portions in the style of the Lower Decks animation. Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers return as showrunners for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 and have written the upcoming season premiere, which is directed by Chris Fisher. Along with Fisher and Frakes, Amanda Row, Eduardo Sanchez, and Dan Liu also direct episodes of the season.
While everyone waits for the return of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2, we can also look forward to the exciting series finale of Star Trek: Picard, which is set to air tomorrow. Fans cans see Patrick Stewart and the rest of the crew for, presumably, one last time when that episode hits CBS All Access and Paramount+. We can also look forward to seeing Star Trek: Discovery returning for its final season in 2024.
Paramount also just announced that Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh will be reprising her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou for Star Trek: Section 31, which will be a special movie event for the streaming service. There are no new announcements yet about the planned Starfleet Academy series that is reportedly in the works, but clearly, fans have a lot of Star Trek to enjoy in the near future. As for Strange New Worlds Season 2, you can check out the premiere on June 15.
