Star Wars Has A Sexy Show Only For Adults And It’s Making A Comeback
The Empire Strips Back: A Star Wars Burlesque Parody is returning to the United States for one night in New York City.
Star Wars is usually fun for the whole family, but the returning Broadway phenomenon The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody is one you’ll definitely have to leave the kids at home for. The sexy burlesque show will be coming to New York’s Orpheum Theater in the East Village on May 10 (via the New York Post). The show will feature sexy stormtroopers and female versions of characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
This isn’t the first time this sexy Star Wars show has come to the States. The production was first brought to Australia in 2011 by Russall S. Beattie, who brought the show to the US for one-night-only performances in California in 2018 and 2019 at the PlayStation Theater on Broadway. If you want to go to the show, you’ll have to buy tickets when they go on sale on March 21.
The Star Wars burlesque parody is set to run for at least three months. They’re planning an open-ended run, so there may be more shows if they sell enough tickets. The show is also coming to San Diego and Chicago.
Of course, if burlesque isn’t your thing or you don’t manage to grab tickets to the show, plenty more Star Wars content is on the way. The third season of The Mandalorian is currently airing a new episode on Disney+ every Wednesday. The animated series The Bad Batch has also aired 13 episodes of the new season, with the next episode releasing on Wednesday and the two-episode finale airing next week.
We also have plenty of new Star Wars seasons and shows on the way in 2023 and beyond. On May 4, aka Star Wars Day, we’ll get the second season of the animated anthology series Visions. Earlier this year, Disney announced the animation studios contributing episodes, including El Guiri, Cartoon Saloon, Punkrobot, Aardman, Studio Mir, Studio La Cachette, 88 Pictures, D’art Shtajio, Lucasfilm Ltd, and Triggerfish.
Other Star shows slated for a 2023 release date include Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka and Jude Law’s Skeleton Crew. The former will follow Ahsoka Tano after her appearance in Rebels, as she presumably continues her search for Thrawn and the missing Jedi Ezra Bridger. Skeleton Crew will follow a group of kids who are lost in the galaxy, with Law’s character presumably stepping in as their leader.
The big question mark surrounding the Star Wars franchise right now is when we can expect to see another film from the franchise. After the disappointing critical reception of the final film in the Skywalker Saga, it’s been unclear what kind of film Disney will give us next. Reportedly, there are movies in the works from creatives like Taika Waititi, Shawny Levy, Damon Lindelof, and Rian Johnson, but none of them have official release dates.
While we wait for more news on these Star Wars movies, at least you can revisit some sexy versions of famous scenes in The Empire Strips Back. You can also catch new episodes of The Mandalorian on Disney+. Make sure to stay tuned for more news on all things related to the galaxy far, far away.
