Star Trek fans with a love of toys and anime are in luck. Japanese toy makers Kotobukiya just unveiled pictures of their upcoming Bishoujo Vulcan collectible, and it is sweet! Siliconera reports that Sideshow Collectibles is accepting preorders for the sexy Vulcan collectible on their website for $130 a pop.

Speaking of Pops, this sexy Vulcan figurine blows Funko’s beady-eyed, giant-headed collectibles out of the water (and into a landfill). Bishoujo in Japanese means “pretty girl” and is an apt description for this Star Trek-inspired figure. Done in an anime style, complete with big eyes and a tiny nose, the figure is–to borrow another Japanese word–kawaii as hell.

The collectible is made of PVC and stands about 8.5″ inches tall. The doll is dressed like a gender-swapped version of Star Trek icon Mr. Spock. The sexy Vulcan science officer is clad in a blue Starfleet outfit like the ones made famous in the ’60s series.

Ms. Spock is based on a design by illustrator Shunya Yamashita and comes. The sexy figure carries a black bag over one shoulder while flashing the famous Vulcan salute with her other hand. The figure is expected to ship in September 2023 from the Kotobukiya, while Sideshow Collectibles predicts an October-December 2023 shipping window.

Star Trek might seem like an unusual inspiration for a sexy figurine, but this new Bishoujo Vulcan is just the latest in a long line of hot babes from the sci-fi franchise. The original series started things off with Nichelle Nichols’ Lt. Uhura. The sexy communications officer was clad in a red mini-skirt that made puberty the final frontier for countless adolescents in the 1960s.

Uhura was followed by Persis Khambatta in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The actress played bald alien Ilia and proved that you don’t need hair to be a sex symbol. The most beloved Star Trek film to date, 1982’s The Wrath of Khan, gave us a young Kirstie Alley as Saavik, the original, sexy Vulcan.

Star Trek: The Next Generation featured enough beautiful women to give the original series a run for its money. The most memorable Next Gen hottie was Marina Sirtis as Counselor Deanna Troi. Troi’s Starfleet uniform ditched the miniskirt but made up for it with a lowcut body-hugging unitard.

The new sexy Vulcan Bishoujo collectible isn’t the first time Star Trek has been depicted anime-style. In 2006 Tokyopop released Star Trek: The Manga. The manga was so successful that Tokyopop later released a Star Trek: The Next Generation manga written in part by Will Wheaton himself.

While none of the Star Trek manga featured a Sexy girl-Spock, Kotobukiya could have easily used them as an inspiration for their new Vulcan figure. The Vulcan Science Officer is just the first in a series of three planned Star Trek Bishoujo figures. The designs for the other two figures have yet to be revealed and could be from any Star Trek era.

For now, the lone sexy Vulcan figure is more than enough to make Star Trek otaku live long and prosper until the fall shopping season.
