Fans of Star Trek: Picard will surely be sad to see the series go as it comes to a close next week. But there is one thing to be happy about: the series finale will be shown in a special IMAX live screening at ten select theaters in the U.S. on Wednesday, April 19th, according to ComicBook.com. This will give viewers a chance to see the show in a whole new way, which will make it an even more epic end to this epic series.

The final two episodes of Star Trek: Picard’s third and last season will be shown back to back in the IMAX theaters the day before the finale heads to the Paramount+ streaming platform on April 20. To make things even cooler, the tickets to see the finale on the giant screen are free. Those who want them can sign up via a dedicated website starting on Wednesday, April 12 at 1:00 pm ET, but it is first-come, first-serve, so if you want those tickets, you had better be prepared to act fast.

These screenings of Star Trek: Picard will be held in IMAX theaters spaced out across the country. If you are in Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York City, San Francisco, Orlando, Seattle, Washington D.C., or Dallas, you’re in luck! You could potentially watch the finale at a theater near you.

Aside from the IMAX screenings of Star Trek: Picard, there will also be a giveaway in which the winners will receive a poster from the final season of the show. There will be free concessions for the fans at the show as well and, as if that weren’t awesome enough, the fans who attend the Los Angeles IMAX screening will get to take part in a live Q&A with some of the cast members of the show.

Patrick Stewart, Admiral Picard himself, will be there, as will LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes, Jeri Ryan, and Brent Spiner. Fans of Star Trek: Picard will also get the chance to talk to executive producers Terry Matalas and Alex Kurtzman about the series.

For those who will be attending the screening of Star Trek: Picard in another city, the Q&A will be broadcast there as well, for fans to watch after the show’s thrilling conclusion.

Season three of Star Trek: Picard has seen Admiral Jean-Luc Picard call on old allies from days long past in response to a message he received from a long-lost friend. This has brought back numerous familiar faces from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and has led to one of the most anticipated seasons yet. According to the official description of the finale, the ramifications of Picard’s final mission in the series will affect the fate of the entire Federation forever.

To find out just what kind of effect that will be, you will have to wait and tune in for the last episode of Star Trek: Picard – preferably at a local IMAX theater where you can watch it in its full glory on an enormous screen.
