See Snoop Dogg As A Beloved Harry Potter Character
Ever wanted to know what Snoop Dogg would look like if he was Dobby the house elf from Harry Potter? Well, thanks to the AI-powered image generation system Dall-E you can find out exactly what that looks like. A Twitter user who posts weird Dall-E generations took to the social media platform to share this mash-up and somehow it weirdly works — even Snoop himself seems to approve.
Dall-E is certainly an interesting and sometimes controversial system that allows you to type in a natural language prompt to generate images using deep learning and a modified GPT-3 model. So you can type in ‘Snoop Dogg as Dobby’ and get a portrait like the one above. Of course, not every image that the AI produces is as good as this one, but it’s always entertaining to see the results of what you type in.
Although it would be great to see Snoop Dogg show up in the Harry Potter universe (though probably not as Dobby), we can at least look forward to Snoop’s upcoming biopic that will be penned by Black Panther writer Joe Robert Cole. The biopic is set to be directed by Menace II Society co-director Allen Hughes and will incorporate music from Snoop’s extensive catalog. Snoop will also be producing the project under his banner Death Row Pictures with Hughes and Sara Ramaker also producing.
Until we see Snoop Dogg in his biopic, it’s great to see he’s still memeing on the Internet and posting goofy pictures like this. Of course, while we likely won’t see any more Dobby in the Harry Potter universe, the franchise itself is still moving forward. The last project we saw in the Harry Potter universe was Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
While Snoop Dogg and Dobby won’t be involved, we will get to return to the Harry Potter franchise again in 2023 when the open-world video game Hogwarts Legacy is released. The upcoming Hogwarts Legacy will be an RPG that allows you to create your own witch or wizard and get sorted into a Hogwarts House. The game will also send us way back to the past, as you’ll be playing a fifth-year who attends Hogwarts in the 1800s.
Since Hogwarts Legacy takes place so far back in the past, that means only a select few characters from the original books and movies will be involved, such as Nearly Headless Nick, The Fat Lady, and Peeves. If Snoop Dogg decides to boot up Hogwarts Legacy when it’s released, he might be disappointed that he won’t get to interact with Dobby, but maybe there will be some other house elf characters that become fan favorites of their own.
We don’t have long to wait for Hogwarts Legacy, as the game is scheduled to come out on February 10, 2023, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a later release date for the Nintendo Switch. As for the Snoop Dogg biopic, there is no release date announced yet. While we wait for both projects, we’ll just have to settle for this AI picture of Snoop Dogg and Dobby.
