The first serial killer movie on Netflix worth watching is called There’s Someone Inside Your House. The film is a Netflix original that comes from horror director and producer James Wan and director/producer Shawn Levy.
The film follows a newly transplanted high school student Makani (Sydney Park) who finds herself in the middle of a serial killer’s spree who is preying on students at her new school. The slasher film is based on the Stephanie Perkins novel of the same name.

5. In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
Time travel and a serial killer equal a suspense science fiction thriller that stars Boyd Holbrook, Cleopatra Coleman, and the ultimate serial killer, Michael C. Hall. In the Shadow of the Moon is one of those time travel films where, if you aren’t paying attention, it could become confusing.
The film jumps a bit, moving forward in time every nine years while also jumping back in time. The movie tells the story of Thomas Lockhart, a police officer who discovers time travel is at the heart of numerous murders. Lockhart now must jump through time in order to bring the killer to justice.

The Pale Blue Eye is a mystery serial killer film based on the Louis Bayard 2006 novel of the same name. When Landor arrives, he realizes that appearances can be deceiving. He enlists the help of a young cadet, Edgar Allen Poe (Harry Melling), to help him solve the mystery.

Lost Girls is a terrifying Netflix movie based on the true-life story of the Gilgo Beach, Long Island serial killings that took place from 1996 through 2011. The film stars Amy Ryan (The Office) as real-life activist Mari Gilbert, who pushes law enforcement agents to search for her missing daughter, Shannan.
This push led to a massive wave of unsolved murders that involved sex workers in the South Shore area. Eventually, law enforcement found the remains of 18 victims, with Shannan being one of them. The serial killer was never brought to justice.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is another Netflix original and stars Zac Efron in a surprising role as serial killer Ted Bundy. The film is seen through the eyes of Liz Kendall, a single mother who begins to date Bundy in 1969. Five years later, recent murders of young women are being investigated and a description of Bundy is produced.
Liz is so in love with Bundy that she refuses to believe he is guilty of such horrible crimes, even when the evidence is overwhelmingly against Bundy. Efron is completely believable as Bundy, one of the most notorious serial killers. Lily Collins, John Malkovich, and Haley Joel Osment also star.
