See Dakota Johnson Lounging In A Cozy Sweater And Nothing Else
As the Thanksgiving weekend is now behind us and the winter months are fast approaching, celebrities typically take to social media this time of year to show off their holiday-themed cold weather outfits. Dakota Johnson is no stranger to the camera, having been born into a show business family with A-list actor parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. Recently, a fan account posted a picture of Dakota Johnson to Instagram where the young actor appears to be posing for the camera in a bed while wearing a long sweater, and not much else.
The picture on Instagram in question of Dakota Johnson makes it look like the Cha Cha Real Smooth actor is naked besides the cozy sweater she’s wearing on her body, suggesting a bit of playfulness while lounging in a bed full of white pillows. The fan account’s picture has been liked by close to 12,000 Instagram users so far since it was uploaded to the social media app on November 7. The post provides a plethora of hashtags as well, including tagging actor Alexander Skarsgard and former Johnson costar Jamie Dornan.
Dakota Johnson got her start in acting by working in movies with her mother Melanie Griffith, specifically costarring in the comedy film Crazy in Alabama in 1999. Johnson gained attention for a minor role in 2010’s The Social Network before embarking on a series of films for the Fifty Shades franchise based on the popular books of the same name, beginning with Fifty Shades of Grey opposite Jamie Dornan. The two would costar in two more sequels for the franchise, which were directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and James Foley.
The Fifty Shades franchise became an international phenomenon and was financially successful, although critics and audiences panned all three films upon their release. The franchise went on to gross more than $1.3 billion at the box office against a budget of $150 million for all three films, which made the film series the seventh highest-grossing R-rated franchise of all time.
The movies were not a critical success for Dakota Johnson and the actors involved, as Rotten Tomatoes currently ranks Fifty Shades of Grey with a paltry 24% on its Tomatometer based on 282 critics’ reviews, as well as an Audience Score of 41% from over 50,000 ratings from verified users to the site. But the Fifty Shades franchise was just the start for Dakota Johnson, who seemed to use the movies as a jumping off point to start working on other films that spoke more to her independent minded spirit.
Johnson went on to work on the romantic comedy How to Be Single alongside Rebel Wilson, the supernatural horror flick Suspiria, and the interesting thriller Bad Times at the El Royale with Jon Hamm and Jeff Bridges. Since then, the actor has costarred in a number of critically acclaimed and blockbuster projects, like Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Academy Award nominated drama The Lost Daughter in 2021, to the upcoming Sony Spider-Man Universe superhero film Madame Web, which will be released in theaters in 2024.
