Watch The Star Wars Original Trilogy In 10 Minutes

Ever want things just a little bit or a lot a bit faster? Even the things we love the most are sometimes even better when condensed down into shorter runs and smaller bites. That can apply to the Star Wars franchise as well where there are moments when getting the whole story in the span of ten minutes doesn’t sound so bad.

While the future of Star Wars is still filled with enormous potential, it’s always worth looking back at the things we loved most about George Lucas’ original trilogy. And if it is in the form of the best parts of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, well, then even better.

Take a look at the 10-minute version of the original Star Wars trilogy.

The video was put together by YouTuber Sync0py, and I think he did a great job with it. His choices of what moments to include and how to string them together give the whole thing a sense of momentum and excitement.

I also love how he doesn’t keep things strictly in chronological order, but will instead contrast one scene against another, such as the cloaked Emperor arriving on the Death Star set against a cloaked Luke Skywalker entering Jabba’s palace.

He even sparsely includes moments from the prequels and, through context, makes them seem a lot more memorable than they really were. The Star Wars video creator comments about his intentions, saying, “Star Wars: Original Trilogy is the most popular saga of all time, and it has a charm which will never be lost. With A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, George Lucas made a world at war on the backdrop of a family history.

He continued about the Star Wars video, “The prequel trilogy is more my generation, it’s not as powerful as the original trilogy but i like Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. But the better thing of this saga is John Williams; his partitions give us chills forever.”

Again, is this Star Wars video any substitute for actually watching the original trilogy of films? Of course not. For those, there is no substitute. But for long-time fans trying to get a little taste of Star Wars on the go, then this thing is the perfect meal.
