Stan Lee was the ultimate geek icon. The legendary and iconic co-creator of Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Silver Surfer knew a few things when it comes to the art of storytelling.

And back in the day, he was putting out “Stan’s Rants” a web video series mostly focused on his thoughts and musings. In this one, we find the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics teaming up with the folks at “How It Should Have Ended”.

That was to showcase Stan Lee’s thoughts on a couple of notable sci-fi films, namely the Star Wars saga and Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Check out Stan Lee in action.

The web series is still available on Stan Lee’s YouTube Channel. The highlight of the two-minute video is how Stan Lee would’ve ended each movie in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

There are also a couple of cool Easter eggs in George Lucas‘ office, including Jar-Jar Binks encased in Carbonite, a sexually suggestive Howard the Duck, and the ancient Peruvian gold idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

While the ending to the original Star Wars is almost perfect, it’s funny to see someone like Stan Lee “improve” on its ending.

As for Inception’s ending, it fits the overall tone of the film, and while it bothered some people who wanted a more definitive ending, Christopher Nolan was going for something more playful and fun.

Though we lost Stan Lee in 2018, his mark on the industry is ongoing, legendary, and basically timeless. He was one of the true greats.

Not only did Stan Lee create some of the most iconic comic book characters in history, he also made cameo appearances in most of the modern Marvel superhero movies.

“The How It Should Have Ended” web series went strong for awhile. The most notable entries of the series include Looper, Prometheus, and Return of the Jedi.
