If You’re In Seattle, Check Out The Rayguns & Robots Art Show
Heads up, Seattle GFR readers (or those of you willing to drive there): if you’re looking for something interesting to do sometime in the next month or so, you might want to check out the Rayguns & Robots art show. It’s designed as a tribute to classic science fiction, and invites you to “Come back to a time when space travel, aliens, and robots captured the imagination of the world.” The show is opening this Saturday, June 16th, at 7 PM at Seattle, Washington’s Ltd. Art Gallery. Here’s a snazzy poster promoting the show via a can’t-fail marketing trick: space monkeys!
If you can’t make it out for opening night, fear not! Rayguns & Robots will be running through July 22nd, 2012, so you’ve still got plenty of time to plan a night out or a road trip, whichever is applicable. If your interest is piqued by this show, you can check out the gallery’s website and/or Facebook page, both of which let you see some more of the gallery’s art.
Here’s the official listing of the artists participating, and I’m linking to their websites where possible so you can check out their work.
