Is Pedro Pascal Really Quitting The Mandalorian?

Pedro Pascal has been the subject of a lot of speculation after rumors emerged that he might not be happy with how his character was treated in the second season of The Mandalorian. Considering the source of those rumors, it was wise to take that news with more than a few grains of salt. Now, we are hearing some pretty strong refutation of those rumors.
The above source from Geekosity says that these allegations about Pedro Pascal and his supposed behavior are patently false and amount to nothing more than internet gossip. The source goes on to say that these rumors are part of a concerted effort to damage the Star Wars brand for personal reasons, a way to capitalize off purported internet scuttlebutt, or a combination of both agendas. Other outlets and individuals have backed up the claim that Randolph’s rumor was bogus.
It makes a lot of sense that these rumors were possibly debunked. By all legitimate reports, Pedro Pascal is a consummate professional and understood exactly what he signed up for when he joined The Mandalorian as Din Djarin. The entire plotline involving the Mandalorian religion and their reasoning for keeping their helmets on was assuredly made clear to Pascal. Plus, he knew when he signed on that a lot of the on-set costume work would be done by other actors.
The rumors about Pedro Pascal having a contentious relationship with Disney and Lucasfilm definitely smelled fishy. The Mandalorian has been an undeniable success for Disney and Pascal has played an integral part in that. For him to suddenly turn into a diva at the expense of all the other talented crew and creative minds behind the show does not track with any other descriptions of his character on other film and television productions.
The Mandalorian seems like a fantastic gig for Pedro Pascal. He is attached to one of the most beloved Star Wars projects to come out of the Disney era with the property, and the show is gearing up for a highly anticipated season two. As long as viewers are as engaged and excited by what the next season of The Mandalorian has to offer, there is no reason to believe Pascal would do anything that could harm his standing with the show.
Considering Grace Randolph’s reputation for fabricating entertainment industry stories, it is unsurprising in the least to hear that this recent attempt at creating a firestorm around Pedro Pascal is not holding water. The Mandalorian is assuredly going to be one of the biggest talking points of the fall/winter season and it is likely that Randolph wanted to generate some buzz around it for herself. She succeeded but it was another opportunity to remind folks to not take her “scoops” very seriously.
The Mandalorian season two will premiere exclusively on the streaming service Disney+ on October 30. We do not yet know if Pedro Pascal will appear in this season without his helmet on. We do know that Baby Yoda will continue to be the cutest thing we have ever seen.
