One Of The Greatest Sci-Fi Horror Franchises Ever Is Coming Out Of Retirement, Has A New Cast
Final Destination: Bloodlines is finally starting production, thirteen years after the previous sequel hit theaters. The new film is expected to come to theaters in 2025, and we even found out who the new cast is going to be for the film. The new cast includes Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee.
Starring Stargirl
Undoubtedly, some of these new characters are going to be horrifically killed in creative and unexpected ways, as is always the case in the Final Destination franchise. So, let’s take a deeper dive into the cast who we may get to know for the full movie, or who may get killed off within minutes. While we don’t know exactly who everyone is playing yet, Brec Bassinger is best known for her roles in the CW series Stargirl and the Nick series Bella and the Bulldogs.
Horror And Superhero Veterans Attached
Teo Briones has some recent experience in fun horrors like the Final Destination franchise, playing Junior Wheeler in the Chucky TV series. Kaitlyn Santa Juana also has some CW superhero experience, appearing on The Flash as well as the film The Friendship Game. Richard Harmon is best known for his role on The 100.
More Comic Veterans
Anna Lore is best known for a lot of superhero work as well, appearing in both the Gotham Knights and Doom Patrol shows. Owen Patrick Joyner is best known for Julie and the Phantoms, while Max Tinpo Lee is best known for The Manor. Finally, we have two Star Wars alumni, Max Lloyd-Jones and Rya Kihlstedt, who appeared in The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, respectively.
Death Is Out For Revenge
Final Destination: Bloodlines follows recent high-school graduate Stefani, who begins having nightmares about dying in a 1960s tower accident before leaving for college. But, she learns that her dream actually happened to her grandmother, who was able to avoid Death until her 80s instead of dying in the accident. Now, Death has decided to go after the would-be victims of that 1960s disaster by killing them and their children – unless Stefani can figure out a way to stop it.
Spider-Man Director Behind The Camera
Final Destination: Bloodlines is produced by Jon Watts (director of the MCU Spider-Man trilogy), Craig Perry, Dianne McGunigle, and Sheila Hanahan Taylor. Jon Watts also wrote the film’s treatment, with Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick writing the screenplay. Zack Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein will direct the film.
Will Tony Todd Return?
Other rumors of Final Destination: Bloodlines say that Tony Todd will also reprise his role as Bludworth from the previous films. Hopefully, the new movie will be able to bring the popular horror franchise back to its roots after Final Destination 5 didn’t live up to expectations. At the very least, hopefully, it’s good enough that the franchise won’t be put on hiatus again for over a decade.
Final Destination: Bloodlines doesn’t have an official release date yet. But, it is shooting for a 2025 release window. We’ll keep you updated on more news about the film as more is revealed.
