Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow Footage Leaks, Watch It Right Here

For Scarlett Johansson, it’s been an inauspicious late-end run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only did her Natasha Romanoff character not survive the events of Avengers: Endgame but then her highly-anticipated solo movie for the character has seen more delays than almost any other big-budget film around. That being said, we are getting close to finally having Scarlett Johansson and Black Widow on the big screen and there have been some early leaks for some of the action in the film.
The Black Widow early leak comes from a screening of the parts of the film which also include some interviews with the film’s stars Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour. Posted by Twitter user @natsbatons the early footage looks equally explosive and gripping. For a movie that will tell some of the story of Romanoff’s background as well as the possible baton-passing to a new version of Black Widow, it’s gearing up to be a very cool film. These early clips are the very definition of leaked footage with some grainy looks at the action from a distant seat in the theater. But even from a ways away, they do give a sense of what’s to come with Black Widow. In the first one, we are treated to Scarlett Johansson as Romanoff being referred to as the “world’s biggest superhero” in the “biggest movie event of the summer.” A bit of an overstatement? Sure. But this flick is set to be a blockbuster hit regardless and the early action looks explosive and death-defying.
The other footage that leaked includes a quick scene involving Scarlett Johansson looking disgusted with David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov who is also known as the Red Guardian. He’s essentially the Russian version of Captain America though brings a bit more of that Siberian feel to the role rather than the chiseled “All-American” look Chris Evans had with Cap in the Avengers timeline.
And finally, we get some behind-the-scenes looks at Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and Harbour getting grilled on who is the best detective or best liar in the group. It’s some silliness as part of the promotional rounds getting ready to release the movie. Though it’s only a short clip, it appears the three are definitely on good terms after starring in the movie together.
We were originally supposed to get Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow back in May of last year. But the pandemic put a pause on that when theaters closed due to Covid-19 related shutdowns and the flick was tabled for the time being. Marvel elected to not have it released “early” on Disney+, instead waiting for theaters to reopen at capacity to get the full box office run. It will still get a streaming run, but on the same day it hits theaters. That’s the plan now with the release date set for July 9th.
It’s been a long time coming, but we are finally going to get Scarlett Johansson in the Natasha Romanoff standalone movie she’s deserved. It looks like they pulled out all the stops if this leaked footage is any indication and a blockbuster hit is probably coming down the pike this summer.
