Sandra Bullock returned to the big screen alongside the high-level talent of Daniel Radcliffe, Brad Pitt, and Channing Tatum in the film The Lost City. Her action-adventure comedy blockbuster did decently well after raking in over $163 million in worldwide theaters. Now the film has set its premiere date for anyone who happens to subscribe to Paramount+. That release date is none other than May 10th. You read right. This new comedy can now be streamed on the platform for all US and Canadian residents. There are plans for the movie to reach streaming in Australia, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy later this year.

The Lost City follows the life of a reclusive author, Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), who writes romantic novels that revolve around a hero named Dash McMahon, who is portrayed by ditzy model Alan Caprison (Channing Tatum). Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire, Abigail Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe), who believes that Loretta’s novels are based on a lost city that he is attempting to find. Loretta did write these stories after she had spent time with her now-dead husband, who happened to be an archaeologist. Alan steps in to attempt to save Loretta after she is kidnapped, though he might not be the adventurer that Dash is in the novels. You can see the trailer below:

The film truly does look like a lot of fun and Sandra Bullock still knows how to make audiences laugh. She is joined by a great cast. Daniel Radcliffe recently commented on his excitement to be in the film, as he had been obsessed with the Brendan Frasier-led The Mummy and had always wanted to appear in a film that mirrored that. Granted Radcliffe is playing the villainous entity in this film, but he likely had a ton of fun making this film.

The Lost City has certainly had a quick turnaround from appearing in theaters to now appearing on streaming. The film premiered at the SXSW festival on March 12th, before it premiered in the United States on March 25th. The film has been out less than two months and is already available on Paramount+. That could either be a good or a bad thing. Granted, the film did make some decent money, but it also had some stiff competition. The third Fantastic Beasts dropped two weeks after this Sandra Bullock comedy feature, so that could have severely hurt the steam that The Lost City had going for it.

Regardless of the fast turnaround for the film, The Lost City might make up some good numbers on Paramount+, as it is available right now. This star-studded cast is led by Sandra Bullock, and both Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt are hilarious in their own ways. Daniel Radcliffe is also likely playing a hilarious villain-type that is preparing him for his next biggest role, which is taking on the life of famed parody singer, Weird Al Yankovic. Go check out The Lost City right now on Paramount+, and decide if the film was up against too much competition in theaters.
