Samuel L. Jackson Is Becoming The Most Powerful Man In The World
Samuel L. Jackson has played a badass in nearly every movie he’s been in, and now he’s in talks to take on the role of most powerful man in the world—the President of the United States.
The Academy Award-winning actor might be starring in an upcoming movie called The Beast alongside Suicide Squad actor Joel Kinnaman, according to Deadline. The plot of the independent film has been revealed along with several cast and crew members, and it sounds like it will be a thoroughly entertaining ride.

While most Hollywood projects are on hold due to the ongoing writers and actors strike, The Beast is an independent project that was packaged before the strikes began. It’s the first big project to be revealed for the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is currently in pre-production after receiving an interim agreement from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
The upcoming film will center around the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson) as he hunkers down inside “The Beast,” a presidential limousine that is straight out of a Michael Bay movie. It’s essentially a bulletproof and bombproof tank that’s fully equipped with everything you possibly need to defend yourself: grenades, shotguns, and armor plating. Plus, it probably has an impressive mini-bar.
In The Beast, Samuel L. Jackson will be under attack by unidentified hostiles who attempt to overthrow him in a coup. He’ll have to hunker down inside the limo tank with Secret Service agent Taft (Joel Kinnaman) to save both their lives, and possibly the life of his wife.

The independent film will be directed by James Madigan who has served as second unit director on projects like The Meg and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The screenplay will be written by Umair Aleem who is best known for her work on Kate, the 2021 action film starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The producers behind The Beast are several more action film aficionados, including Keith Kjarval, Fifth Season, John Logan Pierson, and Peter Berg.
It may come as a surprise, but this will not be the first time that Samuel L. Jackson plays the President of the United States. He actually starred as the U.S. president in 2014’s Big Game, a film where he gets stranded in Finland with a young teenager after Air Force One is shot down. In that film, he was the one being rescued, but it sounds like he’ll be the one doing the rescuing in The Beast.

In addition to this upcoming film, Samuel L. Jackson has a full plate with at least nine other projects on the way. He is lending his voice to several characters, including Vic in 2024’s Garfield, Sam in the animated short Futha Mucka, and Officer Frank Tenpenny in an unknown project. He will also be reprising his role as Nick Fury in The Marvels, which is set to be released on November 10 of this year.
There is currently no release date set for The Beast, but more details should emerge soon.
