See Ryan Reynolds Insulted By Hugh Jackman’s Title For Deadpool 3
Ryan Reynolds hilariously mocks Hugh Jackman and rejects his new title for Deadpool 3.
The ongoing feud (and friendship) between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is arguably one of the funniest things on the internet, as the pair often take shots at one another. The most recent came from Jackman, who begged the Academy Awards not to give Reynolds a nomination for best song for “Good Afternoon” from Spirited while renaming the upcoming sequel movie to Wolverine and Deadpool. Reynolds has now responded with his own video, which ends on a hilarious note of Reynolds mocking the title that Jackman has pitched for Deadpool 3, as he stated, “Wolverine and Deadpool? Who’s he kiddin’.”
The above video starts with Ryan Reynolds mocking Hugh Jackman’s last video, where he praised Spirited, but stated he does not want Reynolds to get an award for it. Reynolds also sarcastically praises Jackman for his most recent role in The Son, which is a sequel to the hit Anthony Hopkins movie, The Father. But in typical Reynolds nature, his phone “falls” and he delivers the final line mocking Jackman’s attempt to rename Deadpool 3.
If we are being honest, Deadpool 3 would be quite amazing sounding if it was titled Wolverine and Deadpool. To be fair, Hugh Jackman did come before Ryan Reynolds, so his superhero seniority might win this battle. On the other hand, Reynolds might just edge out Jackman on being the bigger star right now, so he might also have a good chance at winning this feud.
What the title of the movie is doesn’t really matter, especially to fans. Everyone is just happy that both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are going to be together for Deadpool 3. Even crazier is that Jackman has even agreed to reprise his role as Wolverine, which is something no one in the superhero movie-loving community would have guessed could happen.
Deadpool 3 will officially be bringing in Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, along with Leslie Uggams, who is confirmed to return as Blind Al. So far, we have reported that the sequel movie will serve as a crossover with Loki, as both Tom Hiddleston and Jonathan Majors are rumored to be in the movie. Also, Reynolds is actively trying to get the original X-Men characters in the movie like Rogue (Anna Paquin), Cyclops (James Marsden), and Storm (Halle Berry).
Deadpool 3 is meant to bring the Merc with the Mouth into the MCU in grand style, and it is no shock that Ryan Reynolds is lobbying for more of the original Marvel actors to appear in the movie, apart from Hugh Jackman. Deadpool makes fun of practically everything and everyone, and what better way to welcome him into the MCU officially than to make fun of everyone that has come before him? We would certainly love to see many original Marvel actors return for the sequel.
We are not sure if Ryan Reynolds is going to be nominated at the Academy Awards, but we are certainly going to find that out soon, which will certainly draw the ire of Hugh Jackman. What we do know is that Deadpool 3 is set to premiere in theaters on November 8, 2024. We would also bet that Deadpool could be popping up for a huge cameo sometime before his next solo venture is released.
