Ryan Reynolds Facing Fines If He Doesn’t Put Hugh Jackman In Deadpool 3
Could Ryan Reynolds be facing legal fines if he doesn't include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the movie when Deadpool 3 hits?

Ryan Reynolds is going to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut at some point when Deadpool 3 finally hits the screens. There’s no clear timetable about when that is going to happen, but as they are planning he now might have some more things to worry about. It looks like if he doesn’t have a certain member of the X-Men make a cameo, Reynolds could be facing a fine. That’s what happened recently when Hugh Jackman enlisted the New York City Parks Enforcement Patrol to levy a threat against the Deadpool star. Give Jackman a cameo or face a fine next time Reynolds sets foot in The Big Apple.
This is all tongue-in-cheek of course. There isn’t any threat of fines or legal action coming to Ryan Reynolds doesn’t find a way to include Hugh Jackman in the next movie. It’s part of some hijinks the two actors have been up to over the years regarding their specific on-screen characters. In this case, Jackman got a member of the Parks Patrol to go on camera and send Reynolds the message. Jackman then posted it to his Instagram.
In the video, Officer John Dobkowski is on camera with Hugh Jackman clearly asking him questions to start. Dobkoiwski says that Ryan Reynolds has to get “this guy” (Jackman) a cameo in Deadpool 3 even if it’s just for a ten-minute cameo. He claims that this would be the thing that would clearly put the movie over the top. Dobkowski then finishes but not before Jackman says off-screen, “Or I’ll ticket you.” The officer complies with this saying Reynolds would face a ticket if he comes to NYC.
Whether this ends up being a pivotal moment in the casting of Hugh Jackman for Deadpool 3 remains to be seen. Spoiler alert: it won’t be. But there are still plenty of questions about Jackman’s possible role and the movie itself. There had been rumors that Jackman could eventually find his way back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Logan/ Wolverine but there would be a number of different hurdles to clear first. It would have to be a great script and the money would have to be right too. But this is actually where Ryan Reynolds could come into the mix.
While this Instagram video is clearly a joke, there is always just a kernel of truth behind everything. It’s clear that Hugh Jackman has this on his mind or he wouldn’t be throwing out this stilted, and really not all that funny video. And he and Ryan Reynolds do have an off-screen friendship so if there was a personal connection to get Jackman back on screen, this would be it. Plus the budget is going to be massive for Deadpool 3, so no worries about the money.
Plus there’s at least a little of shared comic book history between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Remember, they appeared as these characters in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This current version of Deadpool is different than what we saw in that movie, but bringing the two back together could end up closing that loop so to speak. What happens with Deadpool 3 remains to be seen. We are still a long way off from getting it on-screen. But I think most fans would at least parrot the officer’s sentiments here that it would be cool getting the two characters back together.
