See Ryan Reynolds’ Massive Arms While Training For Deadpool 3
Ryan Reynolds looks absolutely ripped as he trains for his return as the merc with a mouth in Deadpool 3.
Ryan Reynolds has been hard at work training for the upcoming shoot of Deadpool 3. With many updates regarding Hugh Jackman’s long-awaited return as Wolverine, as well as a laundry list of potential MCU and DCU actors expected to make appearances, things are looking good for the first installment of the merc with a mouth since the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney. Now, Ryan Reynolds is updating us via Instagram, displaying his intense workout routine to prepare for the film.
The post shows Ryan Reynolds gripping what appear to be 60-pound dumbbells in each hand, an impressive feat that should have the actor’s hulking frame rivaling his co-stars in 2024’s Deadpool 3. The post contains supportive comments gawking at the impressive gym skills from many fans, as well as a host of actors and athletes in Reynolds’ corner. With a list of tags scattered across the post, the Red Notice star is not shy about thanking his collaborators, including his personal trainer.
The post in question was shared by superhero trainer to the stars, Don Saladino, whom Ryan Reynolds has been working with to prepare his Deadpool 3 bod. In a pinned post on the trainer’s account, Ryan Reynolds details his respect and admiration for Saladino, remarking that the pair have worked together for over 14 years. The pinned post also points to Saladino as the assigned trainer for the Wrexham football club, which Ryan Reynolds co-owns and co-runs with Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney.
The Instagram post displaying Ryan Reynolds’ bulging biceps has been shared to a following of over 376,000 followers courtesy of @donsaladino, with tags referencing Deadpool 3, Wolverine, and the FX reality show Welcome To Wrexham, which follows McElhenney and Reynolds as they discover the ins and outs of owning the team. The sports show’s first season aired from August through October of 2022, with a second season in active development. While there is no word on a production schedule, we can assume filming will begin after McElhenney concludes filming the 16th season of Always Sunny, which began filming earlier this week.
When Ryan Reynolds isn’t busy getting into Deadpool 3 shape, you can find him running a cell phone company, as well as starring in ads for his own brand of gin. The Spirited star is certainly an expert at staying busy, as he has over seven projects in various stages of active development, according to IMDB. Reynolds holds an Instagram following of over 47 million, making him a fan-favorite A-list star.
As for now, Ryan Reynolds has not provided any information on how Deadpool 3 will fit into the canon of the MCU if at all. The film is expected to begin shooting in Vancouver, Canada, this May, with a projected release date of November 2024. This means that if Reynolds’ Wade Wilson is being ported over into the Marvel canon, he’ll arrive right in the crosshairs of Marvel’s sixth phase, beside films such as 2025’s Fantastic Four reboot, as well as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and 2026’s Avengers: Secret Wars.
