The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Anime Reveals A New Trailer Filled With Exciting Teases
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 is set for official release tomorrow (October 6), and a last-minute drop of a new trailer for the season has fans excited for what’s to come. Of course, fans on the U.S. West Coast saw the first episode of the third season in a special viewing at Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles this July.
A last minute trailer just dropped for Season 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero.
The Rising of the Shield Hero tells the tale of an easygoing young man named Naofumi who was summoned into a parallel world alongside three other young men. The kingdom of Melromac summoned the four heroes to fight inter-dimensional hordes of monsters called Waves.
The four Cardinal Heroes represent the sword, the bow, the spear, and the shield. Naofumi is the shield hero and receives the Legendary Sheild (solely built for defense), while the other young men receive legendary items for offense in battle.
The Season 3 trailer for The Rising of the Shield Hero features Naofumi and his friends beginning their newest adventure to reach the country of Zeltoble.
In The Rising of the Shield Hero, the other heroes are celebrated in the kingdom and given strong allies to assist them in their fight, but Naofumi is treated with less respect and given only one companion. She turns out to be the kingdom’s princess, and she’s not much of a friend to Naofumi.
She betrays him, robs him blind, and then accuses him of sexually assaulting her. This leaves Naofumi as even more of an outcast, and the hero is left being viewed as an outcast to everyone from peasants to the nobility of the kingdom.
He then starts training on his own and forms his own band of friends, a young demi-human slave named Raphtalia and a large bird-like monster named Filo.
The Season 3 trailer for The Rising of the Shield Hero features Naofumi and his friends beginning their newest adventure to reach the country of Zeltoble. The party seeks to locate more demihuman survivors of Raphtalia’s place of origin, Lurolona Village, to liberate them.
Season 3
Though the third season of the show picks up right where the second season left off, there will be some notable changes to the creation staff. Kinema Citrus will still be handling the production of The Rising of the Shield Hero, but Hitoshi Haga is back in the director seat for the new season.
Masato Jinbo directed season two and was met with some harsh criticisms, so the studio chose to step back to its roots a bit by reinstating Hitoshi Haga. The script was coordinated by Keigo Koyanagi, and Kevin Pekin served as the series musician, composing the soundtrack for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3.
Additionally, the third season of the isekai anime will feature musical performances from MADKID and singer Chiai Fujikawa. They are reportedly purposed to perform the opening and closing songs for the show.
The chief animation director is still going to be Kota Sera, and he will be working alongside Sana Komatsu, Franziska van Wulfen, and Masahiro Suwa. Fans of the anime series can catch the new season of The Rising of the Shield Hero streaming on Crunchyroll.
