We are very sad to have to report that legendary actor, Ray Liotta, has died at the age of 67 years old. The actor was overseas in the Dominican Republic while shooting a film called Dangerous Waters. Although there are no details about his cause of death, it has been reported that he passed away in his sleep. At least the man went peacefully, though it is still sad to have to report. The actor leaves behind his daughter, Karsen. He was also engaged to be married to Jacy Nittolo.

Ray Liotta has held a legendary career that dates back to 1980. Although he began his career in show business by garnering small roles, he had his breakout when he was cast as Henry Hill in Goodfellas. The Martin Scorsese gangster epic is arguably the greatest on the subject of organized crime, apart from The Godfather. Liotta starred in Goodfellas alongside Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro. The film would go on to garner six Academy Award nominations, with Pesci reeling in the win for Best Supporting Actor. Although Liotta was known most for Goodfellas, he held many more impressive roles. One of the best scenes from the film comes when Tommy and Henry argue at a bar. This scene has been quoted in many other pop culture subjects.

Some of the best films were ones where Ray Liotta appeared to essentially boost up the rest of the cast. He was spectacular as Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams, a complement to Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, and Robert De Niro in Cop Land, and hilarious as Detective Harrison in Observe and Report. Some of his most known films not named yet have been Narc, Revolver, The Many Saints of Newark, and The Place Beyond the Pines. The man held over 129 acting credits throughout his prestigious career and was currently filming three different movies. He had just completed the Cocaine Bear film, which is being directed by Elizabeth Banks. He was also filming Dangerous Waters, The Substance, and April 29, 1992.

Throughout his career, Ray Liotta garnered many awards and recognition. He received a Daytime Emmy for his role on the show ER. He won the Robert Altman Award from the Film Independent Spirit Awards for his ensemble cast part in Marriage Story. He was a Golden Globe nominee for Best Supporting Actor in Something Wild. He also won a Spike Video Games Award for Best Voice Acting for his role as Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The man truly held great a legendary career that spanned film, television, and video games. Not many performers can say that.

Ray Liotta will go down as one of the best actors of our generation. He has undoubtedly left behind a legacy that will not be forgotten. Goodfellas is one of the best films ever created and a crowning achievement for Martin Scorsese. Without Liotta, that film would not have done so well. We know, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are legendary actors themselves, but Liotta truly played a wonderful part in the film. His acting credits stretch a mile long and he has always appeared in every film with the most passion and grace possible. Our condolences to his loved ones, and rest in peace, Mr. Ray Liotta.
