Jennifer Lopez, who shared the screen with Liotta in Shades of Blue, said he was the “epitome of a tough guy who was mushy on the inside.”
The actor’s popularity surged in recent years after appearing in the Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark. The story chronicles a violent gang war in the midst of New Jersey’s 1967 riots from the perspectives of mobster Dickie Moltisanti and Tony Soprano, his teenage nephew.
