Popular Fantasy Anime Series Gets Season 5
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is set to air its fifth season this year. While it was no surprise that it was coming, as the team announced it in November 2023, the release date hasn’t been provided to viewers until now. Fans might be surprised to learn the first episode comes out in just a couple of months, on October 4.

The series follows Bell Cranel (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), a man who wants to be nothing more than a strong adventurer. However, in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, unlike most brave enough to explore the dungeons, it’s not treasures and fame Bell is looking for. Instead, he hopes to meet a girl, or several, and make them fall in love with him.
Season 5 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? begins streaming on HiDive on October 4.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is getting a Season 5, and it’s coming soon. A trailer, released on August 10, finally announced the release date, which will be on October 4.
Season 5 is known as the Goddess of Fertility arc. It will start on volume 15 of the light novels, as Season 4 covered up to the 14th book.
The first four seasons of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? all have similar reviews, ranging from a 7.24 to a 7.74 as their average score on My Anime List. It stands to reason that the next arc will be similar. Some hope the rating will even be a little higher, as the previous season was the highest of them all, and the next one could be even better.
The newest season is set during the Goddess Festival. This event is full of fruit and can bring Orario, a labyrinth city, to life.
A few goddesses said to represent fertility and beauty are enshrined during the festival. The main character, Bell Cranel, has survived the dungeon and is now looking to relax. Unfortunately, that might be nothing more than wishful thinking when some of the local girls decide they want his attention.
Season 5 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? covers the Goddess of Fertility arc.
In addition to returning characters from the previous four seasons, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will have two new voice actors added to the series. Ikumi Hasegawa (86) will play Heith Velvet and Gen Sato (Dr. Stonr) will play Van.
Though the next season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is coming soon, there might be a hiatus for a while. Currently, the light novel is on volume 19. If this season covers two to five volumes, as is standard, there might not be enough material to continue on.
Those in the United States will be able to watch the latest season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? on HiDive, while the first four seasons are on Hulu. It used to be on Crunchyroll but was unfortunately dropped from the platform in 2022.
