Paramount Releases Three-Hour Loop Of Steamy Top Gun Footage, See It Here
Paramount has released a three-hour cut of the shirtless beach scene in Top Gun: Maverick.
For some odd reason, loop videos happen to have quite a following on YouTube. People on the internet flock to these videos to watch the same thing for hours on end. Paramount has now added themselves to the loop fad by adding a three-hour cut of the shirtless football beach scene from Top Gun: Maverick. For those who can’t get enough of Tom Cruise trying to appear buff in front of his younger and fitter co-stars, you can watch this cut below:
One of the cheesiest scenes in the original Top Gun was the sweaty and shirtless beach scene, which had to be replicated in Top Gun: Maverick. However, what everyone got in the 1980s was a young Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. This time, we get young stars like Miles Teller, Glen Powell, Jay Ellis, and Monica Barbaro soaking up the rays in a “team building” exercise.
We are not sure if a three-hour cut of this scene is needed, but the above video has already racked up over 30,000 views for Paramount. Clearly, people want to watch pilots throw the pigskin around, and take in one of the odder scenes in Top Gun: Maverick. Seriously, both shirtless football scenes are a bit cringe-worthy, but to each their own.
The world cannot get enough of Top Gun: Maverick, and that started with the massive $1.488 billion the movie secured at the box office. Now that it has landed on Paramount+ to stream, the movie is already breaking records there as well. Paramount is clearly doing what it can to boost this movie into superstar status, though it has not needed much help on that front.
Top Gun: Maverick became the most successful movie in Tom Cruise’s storied career and is number 11 among the top-grossing movies in cinema history. That was not because of the shirtless football scene above, but mostly because it’s truly a thrill ride that everyone should watch at least once. As previously stated, it is currently streaming on Paramount+ for the world to see right now.
There has not yet been any movement on the front of a Top Gun: Maverick sequel, though Miles Teller stated that he had discussed the idea with Tom Cruise. We would imagine that Paramount would want to attempt to rake in more money with the sequel, considering how massively successful the second effort was. Even after it took 36 years to happen, the potential Top Gun franchise is certainly alive and well.
Top Gun: Maverick follows Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, now 30 years removed from the Top Gun academy, as he must train the best fighter pilots in the world to accomplish a seemingly impossible mission. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Ed Harris, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, and many more. It is currently streaming on Paramount+ right now, and if that is not enough, everyone can just watch the above scene on a loop and decide if they want to see the shortened 15-minute version of said scene in the movie.
