See The First Look At Norman Reedus In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
AMC releases an official poster for the upcoming spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
It’s almost been a full year since the world bid adieu to its favorite apocalyptic zombie survival story in The Walking Dead and AMC isn’t messing around with getting its spin-offs up and running. With Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohen reprising their roles in the recently debuting The Walking Dead: Dead City, it’s almost time for fans to dive into the next chapter of the story of Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon. A new poster featuring The Boondock Saints star up close and personal shines a light on his latest adventure in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Appearing ready for whatever the world throws at him, Norman Reedus looks confident if not a bit unnerved in the new poster for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Dressed in all black, the beloved character doesn’t look too much worse for the wear seeing as how he’s still surviving and even thriving through the zombie apocalypse.
For a change of scenery from the typical destroyed buildings and farmhouses of America, behind Daryl are the remnants of an old stone castle because this spin-off takes place in France.
In case you’ve been out of the loop, you may be wondering how Norman Reedus’ tough-as-nails character ended up all the way in Europe. According to the show’s logline, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will pick up following the events of the main series and will see Daryl just as confused as the rest of us as to how he ended up in France.
As he uncovers the how and why of his location switch, he’ll meet a new group of survivors who, like his acquaintances back home, are trudging forward despite the horrors they’ve come across.
Since Norman Reedus was announced to be reprising his role in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, audiences have been excited to see exactly where AMC and the folks behind the franchise will take him next. One of the biggest questions on everyone’s minds was whether or not his right-hand woman Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) would join him for his French crossover.
While, at first, it seemed that due to scheduling issues, McBride would be unable to join the production, things have turned around in recent weeks with all signs pointing to the actress appearing in some capacity.
Between rumors surrounding McBride’s scheduling issues to a now slammed rumor that Norman Reedus was the reason she wouldn’t be returning for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, a recently released behind-the-scenes photo shows the besties back in action.
Their biggest cheerleader and fellow The Walking Dead alum, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, was one celeb to share the image on Twitter, shoving it in the faces of the more toxic side of the fandom who had been blaming Reedus for McBride’s departure.
As of right now, it’s unclear when we can expect to catch Norman Reedus back in the saddle as Daryl as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon hasn’t revealed a release date, although we do know that it’s expected to land on AMC and AMC+ this fall. For now, you can catch up with the most unlikely duo, Maggie and Negan, in The Walking Dead: Dead City.
