Nicolas Cage’s Son Arrested On Serious Felony Charges

Nicolas Cage’s son, Weston Coppola Cage, surrendered on Wednesday, July 10, to Los Angeles’ 77^th division, as per LAPD’s statement. The arrest followed an incident that took place on April 28, when LAPD responded to situations in which Weston allegedly punched two victims multiple times, causing injury.

The identity of the victims remains unknown, as well as the extent of their injuries, but the final LAPD report states that Weston had committed assault with a deadly weapon, which resulted in two counts filed by the District Attorney and a felony warrant.

Subsequent police reports state that Nicolas Cage’s son was booked just before 8 AM local time but was released nearly two hours later, at 9:50 AM, on a $150,000 bond. The LAPD also didn’t directly state whether the incident in question is associated with Weston’s altercation with his mother, Christina Fulton, at Fulton’s residence in Los Angeles.

Neither representative for Weston Cage and Christina Fulton have responded to the media’s request for comment. Even the LAPD hasn’t commented on why they booked Weston a month after the incident took place.

Nicolas Cage’s son has been pretty open about his struggles with substance abuse and his mental health issues. Back in 2011, Weston was training for his debut in the UFC, with dreams of facing off against the late Kimbo Slice.

However, those dreams were crushed by the head of UFC, Dana White, who issued a lifetime ban on Cage over his repeated domestic violence offenses. 

In fact, Weston Coppola Cage has been involved in several legal issues over the course of the past decade or longer. Following the domestic violence arrests, Nicolas Cage’s son was also involved in a high-speed car chase with the police, resulting in another arrest for DUI and hit-and-run.

In 2021, Weston’s now ex-wife filed for divorce, Hila Cage Coppola, thus initiating a lengthy and contentious custody battle over their daughter Venice, which ended with Hila securing sole custody of their daughter.

Nicolas Cage’s son not only lost custodial rights but also visitation privileges.

In May, Weston ended up under investigation for allegedly attacking his mother, Christina Fulton. Fulton initially described the incident as an intervention to Welton’s mental health crisis that turned nightmarish when she was allegedly assaulted by Welton.

However, there’s still no official confirmation of whether Cage’s most recent event is connected to this incident.

Please note that this is a developing story, and while Nicolas Cage’s son was released on a bond, felony charges against him still stand, with Fulton’s attorney saying that his client has been working with authorities to navigate her son’s criminal charges.
