By Jason Collins | Published

Netflix just dropped, as it previously promised, Season 2 of Rising Impact, but not before dropping the anime trailer, showcasing the fantastic first look of the recently released season. So, if you’re still on Season 1 and you’re curious about what to expect from Season 2, don’t hesitate to watch the trailer below:

After releasing the first batch of episodes last June, Netflix dropped a new trailer to announce the arrival of Rising Impact Season 2, the second season of an anime series that made the most boring sport in the world exciting for audiences.

The recently released Season 2 of Rising Impact will center on the big tournament that defines the top student at Camelot Academy, which also determines the world’s best golf player.

Rising Impact revolves around golfing and follows its protagonist, Gawain Nanaumi—who previously dreamt of becoming a professional baseball player—on his quest to become the world’s best and furthest-driving golf player in the world. Well, in the new season, Gawain continues his competition against some of the golfing world’s heavyweights.

However, this time, Gawain seems a lot less confident against his new opponents, who are some of the most talented in the world of golf, so it’s not all that surprising that the trailer reveals Gawain, who seems to feel outmatched and questions his performance. The recently released Season 2 of Rising Impact will center on the big tournament that defines the top student at Camelot Academy, which also determines the world’s best golf player.

The competition includes other farthest-reaching golf masters, making us question whether Gawain will be able to overcome his insecurities, play the best game of his life, and win the tournament.

We won’t spoil the recently released season of Rising Impact; however, the great news regarding the series renewal and subsequent release of Season 2 is followed by some not-so-great news as well. Namely, Netflix has previously announced that the anime series would be a two-season adaptation, which means that the series might be coming to an end.

Rising Impact Season 2

It’s not outside the realm of possibilities for Netflix to extend the story further than its source material, but the streamer hasn’t shown any interest in doing so. Even the source material is relatively short; compared to Dragon Ball or Naruto, which usually span over 40 tankobon volumes, Rising Impact was compiled into just 17 volumes. It’s important to note that, despite its relatively short run, Rising Impact earned a cult following during the 1990s following its release.

Admittedly, Rising Impact owes some of its popularity to a better-known release, The Seven Deadly Sins. Namely, both manga and their subsequent anime adaptations were written not just by their creator, Nakaba Suzuki, but also illustrated by the creator.

In fact, the creator of the manga was heavily involved in the creation of both anime, praising the respective production teams for showing extraordinary love towards his works. And honestly, both anime are great, with The Seven Deadly Sins receiving more praise for being more adventure-focused.

Those interested in watching Season 2 of Rising Impact can stream the show via Netflix; the streamer has, in its usual fashion, released the entire season for your binging pleasure.
