Arcane Season 2 Reveals Return Of Netflix Hit Series, See The First Video
Netflix dropped another trailer for the highly-anticipated Arcane Season 2 and it looks like we can expect plenty more high-octane action, incredible animation, and intense sibling rivalry. In the trailer, we see Caitlyn and Vi suit up to head to the seedy underworld of Zaun after the cliffhanger from Season 1. The trailer also shows off some other fan-favorite characters and battle-ready Yordle.
Co-creator Christian Linke revealed that the series always had a “very specific ending in mind” and that this season would wrap that story up.
Arcane Season 2 still has a lot of story to wrap up, as Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) are more at odds than ever after Jinx sent a rocket straight toward Piltover council at the end of Season 1. Based on what we see in the trailer, it seems that action has escalated the conflict to create a war between the wealthy and utopian Piltover and the criminal underground of Zaun. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Vi and Jinx battling before it ends, with Vi donning her gauntlets and Jinx firing at her with a huge gun.
While we’ve been waiting patiently for Arcane Season 2 since the critically acclaimed first season dropped in 2021, this will unfortunately be the last season as well. Co-creator Christian Linke revealed that the series always had a “very specific ending in mind” and that this season would wrap that story up. While this might be disappointing news for fans of Arcane, the good news is that Linke also revealed that the series is “just the first of many stories we want to tell in Runeterra.”
Fans of League of Legends are well aware that Arcane is based on the popular multiplayer game, though you certainly don’t have to be a fan of the games to enjoy the series. The show mostly focuses on the playable League of Legends champions Vi and Jinx, though there are well over 100 champions in the game itself. With Vi and Jinx’s tales wrapping up in Arcane Season 2, it seems like there will be plenty of other League of Legends shows that focus on other champions in the future.

This is good news because Arcane is widely considered one of the best video game adaptations of all time, and video game adaptations have only become more popular since the release of its first season in 2021. Even when video game adaptations weren’t such a hot property back then, the series still managed to become one of Netflix’s highest-rated series, ranking first in the Netflix Top 10 Chart in 52 countries within just a week of premiering. The series also nabbed four Emmy wins, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Arcane Season 2 managed to recreate this success.
