NBC is making waves in the streaming world with two of its newest crime shows, The Irrational and Found. Deadline touted that the network has drawn more than 20 million viewers to streaming with their two most recent procedurals, proving that a successful crime series is still possible.

NBC’s new procedurals, The Irrational and Found, are earning incredible streaming numbers on Peacock!

The most recent NBC crime show, Found, stars Shanola Hampton (Veronica from Shameless) and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell). Hampton plays Gabi Mosely, a public relations specialist who is the leader of a crisis management team.

The team makes a living from locating missing persons from marginalized groups. People who don’t usually draw media coverage due to their race, creed, or gender are at the top of the list for Gabi, as she was once a forgotten and marginalized missing person.

NBC’s Found presents Mosely as rather genius in her efforts, due to a hidden secret. There is a door in her house equipped with numerous bolt locks, and what lies behind the door adds a depth to Gabi that no one would suspect.

Behind the door, her kidnapper (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is chained to a pole in her basement. She feeds and sustains the man, but she also uses him.

His devious mind provides priceless intel, which she uses to advance her career and find other missing persons along the way. Unfolding the true nature of their engagement and the kidnapper’s incentive for assisting her is a journey you won’t want to miss out on.

The Irrational premiered on September 25 and the NBC show has since racked up more than 12 million viewers.

The other NBC crime series making waves in the streaming world is The Irrational. The Irrational stars Jesse L. Martin (Tom Collins in Rent) as Alec Mercer, a behavioral psychologist who is very good at what he does. In fact, Mercer is so good at what he does that he is considered a savant of sorts.

He lends his expertise to various high-stakes cases but is thrown for a loop when he meets his match. A domestic terror suspect will take him for a ride and toss his world upside down. Though his powers of deduction are strong, this character is his true nemesis.

The Irrational premiered on September 25, and the NBC show has since racked up more than 12 million viewers. Alec Mercer is like the new Mentalist, and watching his mind work to rationalize the irrational behavior of others is one of the show’s most drawing aspects.

NBC’s Found presents Mosely as rather genius in her efforts, due to a hidden secret.

If you’re on the hunt for an engaging new crime show with a twist, both of these shows are sure to hit the spot. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill CSI series with a weird orange filter and a lead actor with one recurring pose for the camera. You’ll find true entertainment in the twists and turns there are to unravel in Found and The Irrational.

You can find both NBC originals streaming now on Peacock with a subscription, of course. The Irrational streams new episodes of the show every Tuesday, and Found drops new episodes on Wednesdays. Both shows are rated TV-14, so it’s a good idea to filter who you invite to watch the show with you.
