Morena Baccarin Reacts To Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Updates
What does she know?

Do you wish you had more details about the upcoming Deadpool 3? Well, it turns out that even if you starred in the last two movies, it’s tough to get updates. Just ask Morena Baccarin, who has been anxiously prodding her co-star Ryan Reynolds for news regarding the Merc with a Mouth.
However, it seems that Reynolds has opted to be as tight-lipped as the Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In a recent interview with The Wrap, Morena Baccarin revealed that she texts Reynolds just about every six months, and he replies with the old “Hey, how are you?” small talk instead. So if Morena Baccarin, who played Deadpool’s girlfriend Vanessa in the first two movies, can’t get new information about the movie what hope do the rest of us have?
Undoubtedly, the lack of information that Morena Baccarin and the rest of us are getting is due to Disney acquiring Fox. Since Fox owns the rights to Deadpool and the X-Men and since Disney owns Marvel, fans are chomping at the bit to see the crossover potential. The behind-the-scenes deals and lining up Deadpool’s story with the greater plans for the MCU are likely all playing a role in the hush-hush attitude surrounding the inevitable third Deadpool movie. Originally, fans were worried that Disney would be a little timid about Deadpool going full R-rated like the last two movies, but it seems like that won’t be a problem. So, probably the only details they need to iron out is how they can integrate Wade Wilson and the other fan-favorite characters into Marvel’s Phase 4 and beyond. After all, there are a ton of other characters to consider, like Cable (played by Thanos himself), Domino (Zazie Beetz), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), and more who all need a place in Marvel’s grand plan.
While no one is sure when we’ll see Deadpool pop up in a non-solo MCU movie, fans surely want it to happen sooner than later. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness bringing Professor X into the mix, it seems like Marvel is wanting to introduce us to the world of mutants as soon as possible. As for the third solo Deadpool movie that will round out the initial trilogy, we do have a very scarce amount of information. IMDb lists Shawn Levy as the director, which would continue his successful relationship with Reynolds after Free Guy and The Adam Project. Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux, writers and producers on Bob Burger’s and The Great North, are both listed for the screenplay. This crew definitely has the comedy chops to take on Deadpool, so it makes sense. Ryan Reynolds is the only cast member listed right now, but it would be surprising if Morena Baccarin, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, and the rest of the cast didn’t return in some capacity. Especially with the potential for Deadpool to comment on Cable sounding exactly like Thanos. I mean come on, why would Marvel pass up on an opportunity like that?
