Millie Bobby Brown is part of two hit properties on Netflix, and while people mostly know her from Stranger Things, she is also Enola Holmes, which is a movie of the same name that follows the younger sister of the famed detective, Sherlock Holmes. However, because of the fourth wall-breaking aspect of Enola Holmes, Brown admitted she is scared to return to Stranger Things. She stated that “While filming, I had a dream that I was on the set of Stranger Things, and I couldn’t stop looking at the camera.”

One thing is for sure, Millie Bobby Brown certainly plays two vastly different characters in both Stranger Things and Enola Holmes. Enola is a bit more charismatic and whimsical, especially when she is addressing the camera, whereas Eleven is far more brooding considering that Hawkins is always under threat of Vecna or the upside down. While actors are certainly trained enough to stop themselves from making mistakes, we would imagine breaking the fourth wall is hard to get rid of. Considering the fun that can be had while looking directly into the camera might be something actors won’t want to get rid of right away either.

Millie Bobby Brown has already finished filming Enola Holmes 2, which was released on October 27th, and we would assume she now has the time to break her “bad habits” by looking at the camera for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The Duffer Brothers are currently writing the new season, and we would imagine that production might not happen for a few months at least, so hopefully Brown is not as scared to return to the series that made her a household name. This will be the final season that Brown will have to portray Eleven, so she could return to more fourth wall-breaking projects in the future.

We are only assuming that Stranger Things is going to stop past the fifth season, which is likely not to happen. There is plenty of characters that are likely going to get some sort of backstory or spinoff series of their own. Millie Bobby Brown might also do further appearances in any kind of movie, show, or other property that further expands on the franchise. This is assuming that Eleven is going to make it out of Hawkins without giving her life to Vecna, which is just one of the theories we have for the final season.

Stranger Things Season 5 is set to start filming in 2023, and the first episode is called, “The Crawl.” We are not entirely sure what that means for anyone involved, but that could also be another reason why Millie Bobby Brown is scared to return to the series, as that title sounds quite scary already. She did state that she was so frightened by the makeup of Vecna, that it made it difficult to look at him while on set.

The good news is that Millie Bobby Brown is certainly going to be returning for the final season of Stranger Things, as the fate of Hawkins will finally be revealed to the world. The series is currently the #2 most viewed show in Netflix history, and we would imagine the final season might break those numbers. Brown is just going to have to refrain from looking directly into the camera when she ultimately takes out Vecna.
